Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons were a featured artist last week on CKWW 580, the sister station of the legendary powerhouse CKLW 800, and the closest format in our area to that legendary Top 40 format. Almost every time I turned the station on, they were playing one of their songs. The deepest track I heard was Bob's #20 sole composition "Big Man In Town". Others commented that they had heard Four Seasons songs that were so rare they didn't know them. Too bad it's not still on 800 so you could hear it over in New Jersey at night, David. They probably play twenty or more FV4S tracks, versus the typical Oldies station that plays "December, 1963" and "Grease", if we're lucky.

I was listening to WCBS-FM (101.1) in New York yesterday as they were playing "Oldies" Holiday music and heard a clip of singers sharing Holiday greetings - first up was Darlene Love and I really didn't take note of the 4 or 5 people following her but the last person to offer Holiday greetings was "Bob Gaudio of the 4 Seasons" - I guess he still feels he has to get "of the 4 Seasons" in there. Nice to hear his voice in "commercials even."

I totally repect this guy. Ithink everyone is so talented that are connected with this show. I've seen 5 different casts and they all have a unique interpretation. And they are all rock stars in their own right. The story is pnenomenal, probably why the show is a phenomenon. Hey, if Bob Gaudio reads this: my grandma had the same thing happen to her. She wrote poetry ane lyrics(could'nt read music though), sent it to famous writers who published under their names. The original title was "I'm So Blue", I've seen it in the original handwriting. The song was published and recorded the famous song was "Am I Blue" and the difference between their lyrics and the lyrics my Grandma had written was
ziltchO. Later in her life my dad wrote down some of her other music music, him and my mom made her dreams come true when they set up a recording for her and she cut a 45, which was played a a chicago oldies radio station in the 70's. thanks for listening. LOVE LOVE LOVE THE jERSEY BOYS.

This is such a wonderful interview with Bob Gaudio. I wasn't familiar with the interviewer, Jian Ghomeshi, from CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Company is my guess), prior to this segment, but he did a fabulous job of introducing the subject and driving the conversation. I just got done viewing it for the third time; there's just so much covered and new bits of information offered up by Mr. Gaudio that one time was just not enough. A must see for any "Jersey Boys" and/or Frankie Valli and The 4 Seasons fan. Thanks for posting this on the JBB for all to see, Susie and Dale.

Bob is amazing. He and Frankie had to really work to get their records on the radio. His contemporaries had it much easier (Brian Wilson, Beatles, etc).

We know that he was the catalyst for getting Jersey Boys produced and we might say, against all odds! Yet here we are witnessing the most incredible comeback
of all.

Thanks, Bob. Millions of new people are singing your songs and enjoying this play. Those of us who knew
the Four Seasons deserved their place in music history are very grateful.
