I think the production will be interesting with an all UK cast. I'd love to be at those auditions just to see if they can find a Brit to play Frankie and if the Brits in general can pull of a Jersey accent.

Hopefully they'll be better than any of the regional accents attempted in the South Pacific revival or in the OLC of Whistle Down the Wind. ;) People like Hugh Laurie are rare, and John Barrowman doesn't really count...

He looks like a very good Joey! Wish him lots of luck!

Another London cast member: http://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/features/New-blood-Griffinis-set-for.3393885.jp
Doesn't say who he's playing, though, and he also seems to think most of the cast is American. Hm. ;)

"There is only a cast of around 17 involved, and most of them have come from the Broadway show."
Well, that is not true. Maybe he is confused.
Posted 2 years ago # -
Hmmm. A bit confusing. Maybe he was so excited about the role he didn't know what he was saying. Understandable.

This is fun. It's a review of the SF/Vegas cast but from a UK perspective.

Have they officially announced the rest of the London cast? I think they start preview performances in Feb.
Posted 2 years ago # -
They haven't. I saw a picture of a London poster today and also realized it really isn't that far away! I'd link it but I can't find it...
I think the only other person mentioned (that was not second- or third-hand, or more) is Scott Monello, but that even took some detective work. Someone broke the news here on this board, but I'm pretty sure he's the only one who's mentioned on his own site that he'll be in the show:

Oh wait, and there's Jye Frasca, too:

Leanna, your own link from 2 months ago, above, to JBLondon, says that the cast (the big 4) was announced on Oct 17. Then if you click on "Cast and Creative" on the right you can see their bio's.
Posted 2 years ago # -
Oh, no, I meant the rest of the cast.
Posted 2 years ago # -
I kind of hope they're going to make a London Cast Recording. Although like with the recent Broadway to West End transfers, I think they're just going to be selling the Broadway Cast Recordings.

Leanna,
I was the one who wrote about Scott getting the alternate Frankie role. I sat next to him at JB here in Nov. He was auditioning for Des and Frankie the next day. Scott is a sweetheart, and I am thrilled for him. Coincidentally, I'll be in London this summer, and definetely plan on seeing him in the show.

That's great, Pamela. In how many different venues have you seen the show? See you Sunday. I

Hi Irene,
I've only seen the show here in NY, but am really looking forward to seeing it in LOndon. How many places have you seen it? I've been looking online at tickets for July in London. Can you believe there's limited availability already, and the previews haven't even started?! Guess great buzz has traveled over the Atlantic! Looking forward to Sunday as well! Pamela

Ohhh...Leanna. That is nice, but those pics just gave me a rush of some serious flashbacks! The cross, the lit guitar, the pizza and Seabreeze signs, and the cars! I'm in a nail-biting withdrawal trip! I need a JB fix quick, and the Palazzo is not even finished yet! BTW, I never realized those cars are flat and one-dimensional. They looked so real onstage. Wonder if they'll use the lift or the "rabbits." I vote for the lift. It just gives me a lift.

Thanks, Leanna. Where do you even find these links?!!! I'll be in London in July, and will definetely be seeing Jersey Boys there. I've been looking at tickets online, and there is already limited availability for the summer. Great word of mouth travels transatlantically very quickly!

Interesting pics., Leanna. Talk about behind the scenes!! I forget about all the work involved when watching the play!

Although it's missing bios and headshots (except for the guys playing the Four Season), the rest of the cast of the London Company is up on the offical site. Just scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Nice. The Knuckles track will have more to do!
They seem to be missing Hal Miller/Barry Belson, though. I think Tee Jaye is playing him.

I just purchased my tickets...YIPPIE! I will be there for 2 shows, October 17th evening performance and then the following day matinee to see the understudy Scott Monello (on Pamela's recommendation!).

I just got our tickets as well, for the July 12th matinee. I'm excited to see Scott as Frankie, having met him in NY in November. He was here auditioning for the role then, and I'm thrilled for him. Gary, great speaking with you earlier today!
