Hey Dottie, I've got some info on "Cry For Me": it was the B-side of Frankie's solo 1966 Northern Soul hit "You're Ready Now". The original had female backing vocalists and was a quicker tempo than the JB version (which I prefer .... in fact it's my favourite song in the show). My next visit is the Nov 17th matinee. Anyone else going then? I love the show as much as ever, and like a lot of you guys, I just keep goin' and goin' and goin'......

Oh, thanks for that info Jules! I'll keep my eyes open for a second-hand copy.
I don't have anything booked at the mo until next year but I'm sure Anne & I will be back before then!!

Oh yes we certainly will!! Just as soon as the lovely Scott posts his new dates we will be booking!!!

the team were on good form yesterday.... full cast (apart from Mark Carroll who was poorly so Chris Hunt was Knuckles/Donnie - I still get confused who is who but he was the one who shoots Joseph!) with Scott as Frankie .... great performance of CTMEOY. Might have been my imagination but thought I detected a "glistening" eye from Scott in response to the applause ... or maybe the light just caught his eye and it looked like a tear. Simon "twinkled" at me during "Who Loves You" when he was playing his tambo.... I think it was from there the other evening that he spotted someone (a female, no less) asleep ... yes asleep ... in the front row during Who Loves You!!! So be warned... Simon has the all-seeing eye....

Glad you enjoyed it, Pipalina, it probably was a tear from Scott, Elizabeth said that to me before the last time we saw him, but because on the three previous times I have seen him I have sat in the Dress Circle I had never noticed. However after sitting in row D in the stalls, I know what you are both talking about!!

On one occasion there were tears falling from Ryan's eyes while he was singing Fallen Angel. At the time I thought they might be fake ones, but I don't think so.

Now I have Frankie Valli singing Fallen Angel on my iPod I realise what an emotional song it is, and a beautiful song. I can quite believe Ryan or Scott or Jye getting tears in their eyes when performing it, especially as it concludes the highly charged emotional part of the show.
The whole phone call/death of Francine scene always gets to me, and whenever i've seen the show you could hear a pin drop the audience are so quiet.

Also, the Cast of Jersey Boys are due to appear on Children in Need next Friday 20th November.

Strictly Come Dancing yesterday. Black & White effect awesome!!
Posted 2 months ago # -
Disappointed with strictly again ... Yes I know it's a dancing competition but yet again the boys are perched one end and when the dancers came out camera was hardly on the boys! Grrrrr! I didn't like the arty black and white effect either ... Thought my TV was on the blink ..... Ooooooo she is hard to please today ... Blame lack of sleep due to coughing all night ... Fed up with it. Now being soothed by lager!!

Yea agree with pipalina about strictly, altho the dancers were good, really would of liked to see more of the boys!
Ive got a quick question - whats it like seating 2nd row in the theatre? I heard some people say its not worth it as u miss lots and get a really bad stiff neck....others say its really good. Do u miss lots and get a stiff neck?Posted 2 months ago # -
Hi JerseyGirl. 2nd row's fine. There's more difference than you'd imagine to sitting on the front row,but you still get the feeling you're almost on stage with them, especially when you're on your feet - you're on your feet, right - at the end!!

To be honest jerseygirl and in my ever so 'umble opinion as simeonewho has sat in front row and row c (2nd row ...there is no row A, in case you didn't know) for the extra £30 or so for sitting in row c you don't get much betters view than being in row b. You do miss things going on at the back of the stage but the actors spend so much time at the front of the stage and there really is no scenery that you're view really isn't that obscured and as julesaney says you really feel as if you are part of the show. Some of the lighting is blinding and shining right in your eyes from time to time but only really in the 2nd half when backlights are used. Think only row b gets that impact ... Another tip ... I don't recommend sitting in seats lower than 8 or higher than 23 on either row... Middle teens on both rows is just about perfect! Enjoy!

Ooops sorry for typos ... Not used to an iPhone keypad even tho I've had it 6 months but hope you get the gist jerseygirl!

Thanks Pipalina! Will try 2nd row out next time i book tickets! =)

All the cast were fantastic on the Children in Need telethon last night ... well early this morning. Scott Monello sang the V-man role and was IMHO absolutely on top form. We were also allowed the opportunity of hearing our very own Nick Massi sing (sigh, swoon) ... as he says 'everyone wants to be upfront ... but when there's 4 guys...'
Most professional piece on the show ... Again ... IMHO ... am sure it will be on YouTube at some point but hopefully is on Bbc iplayer now! If you can view it .... Enjoy! Thank goodness for videos!

I totally agree with you, Pipalina, Scott really deserved his TV appearance as Frankie and gave an amazing performance, as did the whole cast. If you missed it last night, check it out on iplayer, I'm trying to spread the Monello love!!

It was a fab performance - Scott was fantastic, everyone was so obviously enjoying themselves but still looked polished and, yes professional! Even now, after seeing them 'quite a few' times(!), it still puts a huge smile on my face and makes me feel goooooood!
Annie, you're doing a great job! The best unofficial PR Scott has ever had!! xx
Posted 2 months ago # -
Haha, Dottie, hope he appreciates it.......wouldn't mind being his official PR!!!!
Posted 2 months ago # -
I'm surprised this hasn't hit YouTube yet. (Or at least not with obvious keywords.)
Posted 2 months ago # -
No I haven't found it yet.....only on BBC iplayer.......somebody must post it soon!
Posted 2 months ago # -
Sadly advances in technology are way ahead of my limited knowledge and I don't have a clue how to crop and edit anything on iplayer for upload ... We need a real whizz-kid .... Where are you dottie?
