Pam and I are planning a pre-show dinner at Cafe Cielo, 881 Eighth Avenue, which is very close to the August Wilson. We will make the reservation for 5:45. Please let us know if you can join us. We would love to all be together for another JB fan event!!!!!
Irene you know John and I will be there. We are not going to see Tommy, but we want to share some holiday cheer with our wonderful JB friends. I hope there will be many of us who gather before the show. I don’t think going to the show is a prerequisite . A wonderful time will be had by all. We all know what great events are orchestrated by our own JB Event Coordinators… Irene and Pam. Howard, can’t you reschedule your trip? Gary, I hope you are going to take the bus across town. Jody, Frank, Dee and Joe , Harry hope you will take the train in. Wanda, are you coming... it's been a long time. For those of us not going to see the show, I believe there is some sort of tree to be seen in NYC ïŠ. We can pick up some hot totties and sing Christmas Carols …maybe Jersey Boys style. Then we can return to the August Wilson Theater stage door to say hello to Christian and Donnie. We are looking forward to seeing everyone.
Hi Norene & Irene, I will be in the city on the 14th and will be at the August Wilson, of course, to bring some holiday cheer and goodies to the cast. Unfortunately, my performance schedule for the holiday season doesn't allow for me to stay in the city to see Tommy. I was going to try to coordinate it all, but, it would be so tight for me and way too stressful, so I have to miss this wonderful performance so I can perform in Williamstown. I've spoken to Donnie and Christian and they both know that my thoughts and love will be with them on the 15th and always and know that the same will be with all of you as you gather for another meal together and to celebrate. Hopefully we can get together another time right after the holidays, my shows will be over then, it does seem like an awfully long time since we've been together. I also will be at dinner that night..but in Virginia, not NYC! I will miss seeing all of you and wish I could join you at Cafe Cielo (one of my favorite places to eat), so I'll have to send you my holiday wishes here.
On the bright side, my dinner that evening will be prepared by a chef who has been ranked as one of the top 15 Chefs in the country in a national contest. He generously donates his time to prepare dinner for our church choir and orchestra after our Monday evening Christmas program. My husband, the Minister of Music, at our church loves it...people have joined the choir just to be invited to the meal afterwards, LOL!

I'll be in Jersey that night, but have fun. Thank goodness for events like Rockers, etc. that offer chances for friends to gather. The more, the better.
Irene, my husband Bruce and I would love to join you all for dinner! Still keeping my fingers crossed for Tommy tickets, but in either case, we'll be there. Thanks! (Just a warning, though, for the last 2 years [since I saw JB] my husband has thought we ALL are crazy. Hopefully he'll understand our JB passion, a least a little, after we see the matinee on Wednesday!) Can't wait to finally meet some of my "pen pals". I just wish Howard could be there.

Thanks for the nice comments, all. I'll be in West Virginia on Sept. 15 unfortunately. Lasagna, don't think you'll get too far with the kidnap plot; I'm too easily recognizable..the calls will be coming in immediately to try to claim the reward on "America's Most Wanted". (OK, Stubbleyou, I can see your line already about my being the debut guest on the new series "America's Least Wanted!")

PS Sometimes my travel schedule does change at the last minute, but I don't anticipate that here, as the client has already postponed our visit twice.
