    Hello, everyone,

I received the Jersey Boys Fan cards today - 2000 of them. They look fabulous and incorporated all the suggestions you provided.

They will be available on the 21st. Each card requires you to fill in your information so if you would like to exchange them that night, bring a pen along. You probably have questions about the cards and I know some of you would like me to send some to you. I can also provide you with the information should you want to order more than I can give you.

Any help with the cost of the cards would be appreciated. The cards themselves were not expensive. The set up costs were high because the card was so custom. On average 100 cards cost $35.00 with the set up costs. The cards themselves were about 10 cents each so anyone who wants to order more will only pay for the printing. The set up costs are one time only.

I will post the information about how to order the cards later. I think everyone will love the card. IE

Thanks, Angel. I want everyone to know that you will receive the cards on the 21st or by mail if you wish. You do not have to feel obligated to pay - please don't. I just asked for help, if possible. Thanks. IE

Thanks for everything you've done for us, Irene! I can't wait to see the final product tomorrow at the event, and even since i'll be running around LI and NY during the day like the "Energizer Bunny", my batteries will definitely be recharged when I meet the cast and fellow fans at the Marriott!

The Fan Club Cards are excellent! Thank you Irene! They are a work of art.
I have included them in a slide show on the blog, with autographs from the Jersey Boys, the 4 Seasons, and Brickman and Elice.

Good morning Susie Dale and Irene...I left a comment under the front page posting. I thought the pictures were so great, starting with Irene's cards. They are really beautiful I. I sent some when I sent magnets to people who could not get to the event. They all loved the added surprise! But I laughed out loud when I saw the magnet at the end. JBADD. Irene that was such a great line. SO THANK YOU AGAIN!!! It was one of our highlights of the evening to meet you, Irene, Buz. And Susie and Dale. Oh and Dale kept Jen and I entertained while we waited on line. I just can't say enough, what wonderful people you are..Jersey Boys if you are reading this thread, all of your FANS, are truly wonderful, the nicest people in the world. thanks for last week..Jody

I'm having a ball filling out the cards and getting them ready for December 8th. Only if I was paying attention and able to pick up a few magnets and buttons at the BC/EFA Event.....

One of the Chicago area newspapers reported that a member of Frankie Valli's "Four Seasons" will be cast into the Las Vegas "Jersey Boys" production! Not sure which one of them was picked, or what role he'll play, but that's exciting news! It came directly from Frankie's mouth when he was interviewed during the Chicago cast opening night.

The blog slideshow was great, and I've seen lots of attendees have the VIP's sign their entire membership card and not the required line, which makes sense because they can place a bigger signature on it. I'll try to send one to JLY via snailmail to have him sign it since I had my Jersey Boys book autographed in NYC instead of my JB fan club cards.

Hope everyone is having a great day and will see you in SF in Dec! Take care!

MikeBMagbale...do you know which paper and the date it was published?

It was the Chicago Tribune "Online", and the article was an interview with Chicago theatre critic Chris Jones and Frankie Valli dated September 30, 2007. The quote I got my information from is shown below.....

"But I'm watching one of Valli's young Seasons. Clearly, he's the best of the four. Valli has told me he's moving up and out of this show and into the cast of Jersey Boys.
He'll be in the Las Vegas company. It opens in April in an opulent theater at the Palazzo Hotel, the newest, most upscale hotel on the Strip. The theater was custom-designed for "Jersey Boys."

This is exciting news and now, Jersey Boys will have had two performers (the other one was Steve Gouveia) that actually performed together with Frankie Valli in concert!

    Mike,

Thanks for posting the quote from the Chicago Tribune Online ; great information. I've seen Frankie in concert twice in the last year, and was impressed with the talent of all 4 of his 'Seasons'. They are actually 2 sets of brothers, 1 set from California and 1 from Texas. I'm curious as to which one he's refering to that while join the Vegas cast of Jersey Boys.

Irene: If possible, can you bring some Fan Cards with you when you come to San Francisco? I would love to buy some and assume some of the other West Coasters would like some also. Thank you.

That's interesting Pamela, when I saw Frankie in concert at the beginning of this month there was only one set of brothers. They were from CA.

    Hi JBfan,

That is interesting!I saw Frankie in September at Wolftrap, and he still had the 2 sets of brothers, introduced them and gave their background, etc. Guess the 2 guys from Texas are no longer with him. Maybe one of them is in the Vegas cast and had to start rehearsing!

I knew about one of them going to the Vegas for awhile so I kept a careful eye on all four of them. If one of those four guys are the one going to that cast, my guess is the guy singing bass. Or maybe one of those brothers. All four were great but those two really stood out. I wish I remembered their names. If one of those names show up in the playbill next month, I think I'll recognize it.

I'm wondering too..... On CBS Sunday Morning in April 2007, the two sets of brothers were one blond and another set with black hair. I'm wondering if they are the same backup "Four Seasons" on the recent PBS "infomercial" concert for 70's music.

When I watched Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons in the 70's as a teen, it was the third group, the ones that did the "Who Loves You" and "December, 1963" music videos as seen on the "Jersey Beat" DVD.

I didn't see the CBS show. However, if I recall from Sept., both sets of brothers were brunette. They were the same 'Seasons' I'd seen with Frankie last December as well. Mike, I too saw that third group in the 70's. Frankie and the Four Seasons did alot of concerts with Jay and The Americans in NY and NJ, as they were both 'local boys', Frankie from Belleville, NJ, and Jay from Brooklyn, NY.

Jody: Thank you so much for the magnets! I especially like the professional way they're done as well as capturing our favorite sayings and phrases from the play. They'll definitely highlight and make our bulletin board and fridge look much nicer!

I am going to be sending out cards to those of you requesting them. I will also send you the info on how to acquire more of them directly from the printer. The set up fees have been paid so your cost would only be for the cards. Please give me a few days to get these out to you. Thanks, my dear friends. IE

Thanks again for your e-mail Irene - I'm looking forward to getting the cards. Speaking of cards, did you all receive a few of John's postcards re: his concert in Feb. Their great - I'll be sending mine to long distance friends who are not aware of John. Seems impossible that someone would not know of him, but their out there. This is a good way for John to get "National" Exposure!! When the mail arrived Sat. I put it next to my chair where it stayed all day cause I didn't feel like opening it .... lazy! Then that night sat down to watch TV and tackle the mail and there on top a note and cards from John.......FUN!!
