Wow. I was wondering if they'd ever hit the DC/Baltimore area in the near future.
But WTF about Buffalo, indeed:
http://www.jerseyboysinfo.com/tour/buffalo.htmThey were apparently bumped for A Chorus Line:

I can't believe they'd bump JB for A Chorus Line. NO NO NO NO. And how about the discrepancy between the Detroit dates and the Washington dates....a little bit of overlap? They can't be in two places at once....or can they?

They are probably still updating the dates on the official site. If you look on the Broadway in Detroit site, it has Jersey Boys scheduled for December 10, 2009 - January 23, 2010.

Anybody know what show holds the record for the longest-running continuous tour? It just feels like that's the next record JB will break, at the rate it's going.

I think JB has a bit to go to catch Les Miz or Phantom. Phantom may never stop touring. ;)

Phantom has been touring continuously since 1988, I think.

Remember how Buffalo disappeared? It came back, and there's a story on people lining up for tickets. :) http://www.wivb.com/dpp/news/local/WNY_anxiously_awaits_Jersey_Boys_show_20091024

From Robin Leach interview with Bob and Frankie in April, 2010:
"It would be great for my kids’ sake if the show could run longer than the group did. We have six companies from London to Las Vegas now still running strong. There will be another road company, and then we’ll open in Holland, Germany and Asia at some point within the next couple of years. The music will stay the same, but the dialogue will probably be a hybrid of their native languages."Posted 3 years ago # -
The Dutch production was mentioned earlier here: http://jerseyboysblog.com/forums/topic.php?id=1694&page&replies=3
And the guy who interviewed Rick in this video is working on the Dutch translation.
The Robin Leach interview is the first I've heard of Germany, though -- I'm a bit surprised they're not just doing an international or European tour in English.

Is the 'another road company' in the US, I assume? I can see where they could just keep going and going. My dentist today brought up the stop in Philly this Fall. He's seen the Bway production and planning to catch it in Philly, as well.

Yes, there will be a second US tour, as mentioned here: http://westend.broadwayworld.com/article/BWW_INTERVIEWS_Michael_David_And_Lauren_Mitchell_Producers_Of_JERSEY_BOYS_20100325
BWW: What do you have planned next?
MD: We’re looking in two directions - reach out north and west into Europe from here in London; there’ll be another tour in the States too. And then in Australia, we’ll go to Sydney and tour the bigger cities there and in New Zealand. The natural thing from there would be to head north to Australasia. But even articulating it I feel really stupid! We’ve had hits and tours, but this…
LM: Just two years on Broadway would have been brilliant.
MD: We couldn’t feel more blessed.I'm a bit wary of the law of diminishing returns, but hey, I'm not in the biz...

Thanks for that Leanna. (I assume you posted that link somewhere under a Forum topic last month.) Do those pages/ links on broadwayworld stay up forever? If not, I'll cut and paste the whole thing here. It's frustrating when I don't get a chance to read something till much later...only to discover it's GONE.
I'm running my first bus trip for a recreation group in town and the bus company said...oh, JERSEY BOYS!! making a reference like it was in a category all its own. By the way, I've arranged to drive by the location of the old Four Seasons Bowling lounge on the way home. I got the engineering plans for the site-then and now, so I have can show the folks EXACTLY where the lounge was.

Well, they're not like the newspapers which expire their articles or make you pay for access.

The Music Box Company aka Phantom Tour will end its run in Los Angeles, CA.

It sure will. This was announced back in February.
