Nice article. Joe Leo does a great job. One can tell that he is enjoying every minute of this wonderful ride he is on. Any news on who is replacing Eric Bates?? He will be missed.

Yeah, it'd be nice to find out who's replacing Erik Bates! Someone spill! ;)

Gee thanks Leanne! I thought I was the only one on this board interested in the Sherry Tour.

You'll find out in less than a week! ;) :D

I haven't seen the Sherry tour in over a year but I'm always interested in cast changes. :)
Frances, you're a tease!
*grumbles that the Broward Center's site has no super-recent JB press release*

Haha, I do my best, Leanna! :p
I'm not at liberty to say right now, but I DO know who it is! :) ;)Posted 4 years ago # -
I would talk about the tour if I could get to see them one of these days. Met JL Bwarie in Vegas but never got to see him in the role--yet. I will one of these days!

OK Frances. Give it up! How do you know such things? I'm way jealous.

Matt Bailey is replacing Erik Bates.

I'm a fan of Joseph Leo Bwarie from his great work with the Troubies here in L.A. and I'm quite challenged when it comes to Facebook but I did see a couple of messages from fans on JLB's Facebook fan page that alluded to him leaving the tour after the Atlanta shows. Has anyone heard that?? I haven't had a chance to see him in JB but I'm dying to, it's just a matter of finding someone who will travel with me to see him. My time might be limited now that he might be leaving. It sounds like he's doing an awesome job as Frankie. You all sound like die hard fans of this show. I did see it here in L.A. back in 2007 and it was great. Thanks for any info you may be able to provide.

I sure hope JLB is still with them in Atlanta. He is wonderful in the part and so nice to chat with at the Stage Door. I saw him in Dallas.

a friend of mine saw him in the show in Nashville and actually overheard someone at the stage door say that his contract is up after the Atlanta run. I hope they extend him! I was looking forward to seeing him in Boston this summer! He's my favorite and totally worth the train ride from NY. Anyone out in CA going to see the show he's doing there this week? I wish I could!

Mention was made of Joe Bwarie leaving after Atlanta on another thread here also. Joe seems to have many interests so perhaps he is ready to leave the tour. I hope not because I personally know people who want to see him in DC and Boston...some already have the high priced Boston tickets. I would make the trip to Atlanta to see him if it was his last hurrah on the tour! Wish we knew.

In response to Phoebe's post, I live here in CA and went to see the show twice. I'm a fan of the Troubie's anyway and would have gone regardless but it was such a bonus to have Joe back with the group!! The show was awesome as usual, this group is so funny and clever and talented. Joe didn't have a huge role as they only got him on the Monday before the show started on Friday but he did have a solo and lots of funny lines including many jabs at his Jersey Boys gig. Saturday night his entire family was at the show so that was nice to see. I talked to a few actors after the show but I wasn't able to talk to him, he was pretty in demand. He's a great guy with so much talent. I was hoping to hear that he would eventually make it to Broadway with this role but I'm not sure how that works. There may be some video from the show on You Tube. I wouldn't be surprised.

I saw Matt Bailey as Tommy in MN. He's not my favorite Tommy, but he was still wonderful! I know he'll be great. June, I love the Troubies too. I've never had the good fortune to see JLB, but I'm sure he's amazing. I did get to meet him at Cindy and the Disco Ball, though. He was very sweet. Whatever happens with all these changes, I wish everyone the very best!

Of course, we're all hoping he doesn't leave. If he does have other interests and wants to pursue them, then naturally we will support him, right? If he leaves JB on good terms, then he can always come back!
