You are so sweet! Thanks for thinking of us! I hope there will be someplace where pictures can be posted so that we can at least see how much fun we missed!

Jody - how generous! I would love a button and a magnet. Do we send you a personal email of our request? You're so cool!

Jody,
You are the best! Can't wait to see everyone next week. Whether in person or not, we will all be together - the buttons and magnets are a great thing to reinforce the togetherness of such a wonderful group of people. IE

My daughter calls it Jersey Boys "Season"-al Affect Disorder. JBSAD. With the rain in San Francisco and two weeks since I saw the show, I'm in definite need of a magnet or button, particularly if it's attached to a spot light...you know like the ones they shine on the audience when the boys sing Dawn at the back of the stage!
I'm hoping I win the lottery this week so I can buy a last minute plane ticket to NYC for the big event. But I'm not holding my breath.
By the way, I'm going to the Curran on the 20th and the 30th --and several other dates in between-- to see the new show. Any of the gang going to be there?
Affectionately, Mama Lucy

Thank you so much. Irene, That's what I had in mind. We are one big happy family, and just because some of us won't be there, I want everyone to feel some part of the evening. Let's face it, we all had a little bit to do with it. Maybe not making things, or Planing the evening ( That's you Miss Goodnight Irene ). But all of our HEARTS were with the Plan from the begining..I want everyone to be there somehow..Jody

You are so right, Jody - and yes, we all have everything to do with it. IE

Oh A. I'm so sorry. I have had to put 3 dogs in my life to sleep, it's a horrible experience. I have 2 dogs now, they are your family. I will be thinking of you today, it's just a very sad thing to happen and only people who love animals knows that..Remember I'm thinking, Jody

HI, A,
I am sorry about your dog. From my own experience, I know how you must feel. I am thinking about you. IE

Hi A,
I too send my thoughts about your dear friend. I have a very old dog who's been my constant companion for over six years, and I know that time is coming. It is like losing a family member, so my heart goes out to you. Take care.
MLAnd Anne--thanks for replying. I have a ticket for the 6th--I like Thursday nights. So I'm sorry we can't connect on the 7th.

A - sorry to hear about your loss. That's the worst.
MamaLucy, I will probably be in the rush line at some point. Let me know when you're going to be there and we can meet up.

jojen, Irene, MamaLucy, and Linda,
Thanks for your kind words and sympathy. I really appreciate it. Dogs do become part of the family and its so hard to lose them. He was a great dog and I will always remember him. He was a "big man in town", everyone liked him. Thanks again,

A - Oh my gosh, I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. I feel so awful about what you must be going through. I have a Bichon, she's my baby and I just love her so very much, I just cannot imagine being in the position you were in. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and know that you will heal with time, but you will never forget and that's what will keep your beloved pet a part of you always. Love, Wanda

Hello A,
I am so sorry for your loss. I can relate to what you are going through. This past Summer Joe and I had to put Charlie to sleep. Charlie was a Beagle and with Joe and I for 15 years, yes a very long time. We both took it very hard. It is so hard as our four legged friends become become part of our family.
Just try to think that your dog is in a better place and not suffering anymore. He is probably with Charlie playing :-)Time will heal A, but you will still find yourself looking for your dog and missing him.
I still look for Charlie when I get home from work.
Look forward to seeing you on Sunday.Dee

Wanda,
Thank you for your sympathy. My dog was almost 13 years old, so thats a pretty long time for a dog to live. I wish you many happy years with your Bichon. (I told Jennifer about my dog and she was very sympathetic..she is so kind). Thanks everyone again..I can't begin to express my appreciation to you all. What a wonderful Jersey Boys family.Posted 5 years ago # -
A,
So sorry I won't be able to meet you on Sunday. I mentioned in my mesg earlier above to you that I look forward to meeting you on Sunday. Sorry for the error on my part. I was just catching up on my reading the mesg. board today and I read you cannot make it.
Hopefully one of these days we will meet at Jersey boys.Take Care,
Dee

A - That is a pretty long time for a dog, but no matter how old your pet is, it doens't make the hurt any less. My little girl is 10 years old now and I've had her since she was 9 weeks old. Thank you for your kind wishes, I hope she's here for a very long time too.

Dee,
My dog was a beagle also. I am happy though that he is done suffering. Yes, he is probably playing with Charlie somewhere in dog heaven. All dogs go to heaven. I am sorry that I won't be able to make it on Sunday.JBJN54,
Aw, I am glad you are happy with your dog. I bet she gives you lots of joy and laughter.-A

A, what a small world it is. I never knew you had a Beagle. I had told JLY my story about Charlie dying over the summer and he was sad to hear it.
Our dogs are defintely together, two Beagles in Doggie Heaven.Be well and take care, it will get better over time.

Dee,
Your kind words makes me feel better. I can just imagine the two dogs running around together. I hope it will get better over time. It just weird not to see him. Thanks,

A...so sorry. We had to put our dog to sleep this past February...he was such a great dog - boxer. So intelligent and noble. My husband still misses him terribly. I know what you are going through but, as they say, time does heal all wounds, and it will get better, I promise!
Posted 5 years ago # -
A,
Helen is right, it does get better over time. You will still miss him its natural you had him for so so long. I still look for Charlie when I get home from work. I was so used to him running to me at the door when I arrived. Charlie would follow me around the house and he was always by my side. Its tough! I know exactly how you feel,
I feel Ya really I do. My thoughts and prayers are with you.Be Well & Take Care,

Linda, (et al)
I have tickets for the 20th of Nov. and the 30th of Dec...and a few in between though I'm not sure I'll use all of them. I have to be in Las Vegas--"for my health"--on the 30th of Nov. when the show opens. Darn. I wonder how many of the big wigs will come in for that show. So I'll see a preview (I'm thinking since the first show is on a Tuesday, the Frankie alternate will probably do that show--what do you all think?) My first Thursday is the 6th--and that may be the first time I see the new Frankie. If anyone plans to do the rush line or has tickets, holler. Maybe we can do coffee beforehand or something. It's always a hoot to meet the other junkies. Susie (JB Blogger Extraordinaire) is supposed to be coming in for a weekend. It would be fun to get together if she's amenable.
And A - Big Girls Do Cry when it comes to their sweet doggies. Hang in there.

The love and concern for one another in our Jersey Boys family has no bounds. I am blessed to be part of such a wonderful group of people. IE

I just want to thank everyone who e-mailed me. Your all the greatest!!! Irene is so right, we are truly blessed with a wonderful group of "Friends". It might be a nice idea if we could thank (The Jersey Boys Cast) in some way. Look how they got all of us together. I guess we could make a point of letting them know, I wish we could give them a great big hug..But we will all be there on Sunday, even in spirit. And they will know by the "Smiles" on our faces.:-) Jody
