I actually followed this link, but don't get it. I take it that some JBoys are performing but where are the specifics? I'd appreciate it if someone could cut and paste the info for me.
There aren't any yet. The press releases are pretty vague.
It will be broadcast on PBS
Interesting casting rumor: http://www.lvrj.com/news/48059092.html
Heard Michael Ingersoll and Jarrod Spector will be there too.
I don't care who ends up being there. I think everyone of them is absoutely marvelous and I am looking foward to the show.
Now they're confirming it'll be cast members from various companies. Love it!
The Jersey Boys appearing on PBS' July 4 special "A Capitol Fourth" will be:
From Broadway: Jarrod Spector
From Las Vegas: Deven May
From the Tour: Josh Franklin
From Chicago: Michael Ingersoll
They will sing a medley of "Sherry", "Big Girls Don't Cry", "Walk Like a Man", "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" and "Oh What a Night", accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra.
Why off-camera? I want to see all of them.
Awesome, thank you, Jennifer!
Nancy: apparently once you're an alumnus, you must hide your face. ;)
BARRY MANILOW LEADS AN ALL-STAR CAST INCLUDING ARETHA FRANKLIN, NATASHA BEDINGFIELD, THE CAST OF THE JERSEY BOYS AND THE MUPPETS FROM SESAME STREET!

(Is the off-stage alumnus mentioned on one of the links?)
Rehearsal! Can you pick out who's who? http://img22.yfrog.com/i/zcf.jpg/
Hooray! I'm so excited for this.
Choosing players from the different casts is interesting. Some have worked together before, though: Michael was cast with Deven in the original touring company and then with Jarrod in Chicago. Did I miss anything?
I wonder how the selections were made. Oh, and who said anything about offstage?
Jarrod was the original alternate Frankie on the Sherry tour, so three out of four are original Sherry tour cast members. :)
Ah now I know why Josh Franklin told me in Atlanta he had a slight Detour while he would be in Raleigh. It does not matter what actors are chosen for these types of performances. There are no clunkers in the Jersey Boys casts anywhere.
7/3 Rehearsal...a little difficult to make out visually but audio is good. They're going to Rock the House!
Thank you so much for the Rehearsal video. I can't wait to see it tonight.
Phillygalg is absolutely correct...all cast members are wonderful to watch and enjoy!
The experience is all the same...MAGICAL!
"three out of four are original Sherry tour cast members. :)"
Keen obs, Leanna. I knew I might have been missing something.
And yes, Charly, thanks for that rehearsal vid! The clarity on that bigscreen is amazing, no?
I don't think that Manilow will want to follow those guys!
Gee, thanks Vinklin! At least one of my opinions seems to have had merit. Saw the guys and they were SOOOOOOO Great. Just make sme want to see the show again.
Congrats to Jarrod, Josh, Michael and Deven - great job!
WOW, WOW, WOW - just watched it again. I am so glad they did a rerun. Have to slow my heart rate down again. Fantastic performance guys!
OH THAT WAS CUTE.
I loved it! Congrats to Jarrod, Michael, Deven & Josh!
I was impressed at how long it was -- and better camera work than the Tonys! ;)
