Well, if Irene is going then I guess I have to go too! The East Coast JB Fans MUST BE REPRESENTED AT ALL COSTS...not to mention the fact that Rick Faugno makes a GREAT Frankie and I want to be there for his debut as the principle Frankie. I always look forward to a new cast...it's like a kid going to a new roller coaster park!

April 8 be a tough time for me, as I do a lot of personal taxes at that point. But, as Gary suggests, Irene's name certainly attracts the east-of-the-Mississippi crowds. Further, Angel--you and I have had this discussion so many times...Rick Faugno vs. Chris Jones...and we agreed to disagree!! So, should I go, it's Irene and not Rick that would be the premier attraction!! (LOL--actually, I've never seen Rick and have seen Chris twice!!)

Finally, Angel--we haven't chatted for a while--Chris's "Singing in the Shower" hasn't made you a lifelong fan yet?? (I also haven't heard the whole song--will try to get Blue Moo at B&N today.)

And since we may have a truncated version of JB, how about Wanda on the undercard...as Stewie Stone has been for Frankie for the last hundred or so years?

Yes, I'm in with three guests! And we're all from California. How exciting that everyone is coming from all over the U.S. for JB! So looking forward to this trip. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

I have a plan! As soon as we have a date finalized, I will begin. Beverley and Dee will want to come. We just need to figure on a definite date. Does it have to be for opening night? If we wait a little later, maybe more people could go. I know it is a busy time for Howard and I think David Cace would want to come. I am rambling.

Just saw the OBC tonight. I "teared up" at the though John only has about 14 shows left. IE

It's really too bad they won't allow anyone to tape his last performance. It oughta be a heartbreaker. I'm tearing up too just thinking about it.

    Hi Irene,

You're on! I'm sure the "group" would want to go on a date where more people can go. The 4.4.08 date is a starting point really. I happen to be going on Opening Night but, I will go to the later date as well.

Now that we have our lead singer - here's a more updated list of interested parties:

    1. Angel (CA)
    2. Mila (CA)
    3. Irene (PA)
    4. Jody (NY)
    5. Jen (NY)
    6. JBJN54 (NY?)
    7. Linda (CA?)
    8. Mia (CA)
    9. Volty (CA)
    10. Krystal (CA)
    11. Krystal Guest 1 (CA)
    12. Krystal Guest 2 (CA)
    13. Krystal Guest 3 (CA)
    14. DinaC (NJ)
    15. Gary (NY?)
    16. Beverley (NY)
    17. Dee (NY)
    18. David Cace (NJ)
    19. Howard Tucker (NY- only if not in April)

Irene, you have volunteers if you need any help.

Angel--it would still be a consideration for me--let's see as we get closer. Just meeting you in person might be worth the trip. But how will I deal with all these celebrities--not only yourself and Irene, but Gary, Beverley, Dee, Jody (albeit the mystery is gone now that we've finally met) David, and Wanda to lead us in song on the plane!! If David brings son Crist, and Irene granddaughter Sammy, that could do it.

Seriously, so many dynamics can change by that time, that I'll see. Perhaps I can hook it up with a business trip, or just take a day or two. Please put me in with a question mark--thanks.

Hi Howard - what a wonderful morning - waking up to your wonderful reply! Thank you so much. Now that you mentioned all these celebrities, I figure, if we shoot for Opening Night, there's a good chance there will be other celebrities too - maybe the Four Seasons too? Oh - and if you are able to make arrangements by Dec 31,2007 - are you able to write it off for '07? But another date is okay too. More to come...

I'd try to attend if I could afford it and get away ... I have June JB Vegas tickets, but this sounds like so much fun and might coordinate with something else I'm doing. Will stay in the loop!

If it's in early April, and in Las Vegas, then I'll definitely put my name into the hat with sons Michael III and Christopher.

Would this be an independently organized "fanfest", or how would we go about sponsorship?
Wonder if John Lloyd Young would have anything on his plate at that time so that we can extend an invite?
Can we "spread out" donations to various charities (Crohn's & Colitis, American Cancer Society, BC/EFA, Cystic Fibrosis and others)?
Any chance to have "surprise guests" attending (would be nice to have Joe Pesci, Bob Crewe or Des McAnuff show up in addition to others.....)?

Hope we can get feedback from the New York City and San Diego BC/EFA benefits and brainstorm on how we can make the Las Vegas bash a success!

MikeBM ( I'll just refer to you as MikeBM because there is another Mike here)..you have an excellent idea right there ! It would be exciting to have those celebrities present at the Jersey Boys Opening. Wow ! if John Lloyd Young can attend it, that would be the best ! How about the real Frankie Valli ? Come to to think of it, maybe there is a strong possiblity that the Four Seasons will make it a point to attend the opening of JB because that is a big thing. In Chicago, that's what they did..."Y" not in Vegas considering there are predictions that JB will be the biggest show ever in Las Vegas. Now the only question will be..who will coordinate the whole thing like inviting the celebrities etc.? I think that will be another monumental task. Just to find out if the show will definitely open in the scheduled date is a major thing. It may not be a problem for the West Coast fans but fans from the East Coast need to book their flights ahead of time to get a decent airfare. I hope someone knows how to confirm the date so we can be sure.

It sounded unusual hearing John Lloyd Young call himself a "civilian" when his run as Frankie ends..... He replied to my post describing my NYC trip, and he did mention being a "Fan" of Jersey Boys. The most comforting thing is that he definitely wants to watch the other productions as well. I'm sending him a few "Jersey Boys Fan Club" cards in hopes he will spread the news about the play in his travels!

Regarding the other special guests attending the NYC benefit, I'm not sure if it was a combination of Charles Alexander, David Cace (Eisner, LLP) and BC/EFA that had organized the Four Seasons and Brickman & Elice's attendance there. What a star studded evening for Jersey Boys and Four Seasons fans! Hope the Las Vegas event will be just as exciting too!

By checking Virgin American Airlines, from San Francisco, the one way fare is..... $49! If we receive a specific date for the gathering, that would help everyone in planning flights! What a bargain, and if Virgin American flies from NYC to Las Vegas, they may have specials too from the East!

Not a bad plane fare, Angel. My company should use you as our travel agent! Please don't put me in the bulkhead though. Gary, my man, I think the question marks mean we're not certain we're going..not so much where we're from. Mayor Mike in NYC truly appreciates you here--your Jersey Boys ticket purchases have boosted the NYC economy like nothing else! Please let me know when you go public!!

Speaking of free tickets, I think I'll have another Southwest voucher by then...I just may not be able to say no, particularly if I put you "over the top" in terms of group seats...

    Is the 4-4-08 date definite?
Would that date still be doable for 100% of those interested?
    "Is it Fairfield or Bloomfield?"
"Just Play that F*%&$@G Song Already!!!!"

I truly hope that this will work out as good as the NYC event in terms of attendance. I'm also hoping to hear about the San Diego fan event too! Crossing my fingers that Las Vegas will come to fruition and will be successful!

    Hi Howard,

Gary's right. It does mean where you're from. I kinda wanted to see where all the JB Fans will be coming from - will help out when planning logistics. Your question mark means not sure - but I will change that to asterisk to avoid confusion.

And Howard, I listened to Blue Moo and holy cow! you were absolutely right! Chris' Singing in the Shower is fabulous! It's not just a song - it's a hit! I asked myself - is it the book? The cd? I played all the songs - chasing the music - this is the best gift ever for 2007! My nieces will absolutely love it. The jukebox musical theme/package is great. It looks good. It sounds good. Chris' song even opens with the Sherry tune, I recognized a bit of Grease, very well done. I highly recommend it for the young kids.

    Chris Jones fan.
