C'mon, Paul, is this info reliable? It woud be great. I know Chris and Jenna are scheduled to do "Little Shop of Horrors" in the DC area in early 2010.

99.99% reliable as reported by Harley.

Who is Harley?

So, does that mean Rick or Travis is leaving? And if so, when would this happen?
Posted 3 years ago # -
Yes, it is finally official! Check out his web site. Performing for 5 weeks!!
Welcome Back Chris!!!

That is amazing! Now I have to figure out how and when to get there. ;)

Bye, bye wallet.
EDIT: But to repeat what Krystal said -- which Frankie is leaving (or going on vacation)? Or maybe they both are?
I am bitter that Las Vegas doesn't have "real" matinees which would allow me to fly in and see the show and fly out. ;)

You got that right!!! I can hardly wait!! He is so FANTASTIC and love his voice.

Sweet! I booked my trip to Vegas recently. I'm planning to go on Friday, September 4. What would be the best time frame to catch him at?
Ah, Sherry cast memories...

How can we find out which performances Chris will be doing.

"Aaah, Sherry cast memories..."
Surrounded by CKJ, Bergen, and May,...Wiill Liebow think he fell thru a time warp or what?

I want to go to Vegas. Geez I think I'm going to cry.

Hi everybody! In the interest of clarification I just thought I'd put up a little post. I am not going to Vegas to replace either Rick or Travis who are both amazing performers. To my knowledge, neither of them is leaving the show soon and will hopefully be able to rock the Pallazzo for many performances to come. I am just being brought in, in a temporary capacity as a stand-by for the two of them. Should either of them decide to take a show or two off in a given week for some much-needed and deserved rest from this demanding role, it will be my honor and pleasure to fill in for them.
Regretfully, this means I will have no confirmed shows, though if this changes I will post it to my website immediately. I am excited to be returning to this wonderful show and look forward to supporting the Vegas cast in any way I can.
Howard Tucker is my go-to man with any updates so he's usually the safest source for news about me. Thank you all so much for the support and God Bless,

Yeah, stubs. When Deven says, "Is this like being in a f***ing time machine, or what?", it will have a completely different meaning for the three of them and those of us who "grew up" with the Sherry cast. I'm absolutely definitively THERE! Anybody know his schedule? EDIT: just saw Chris' post. Thanks, Chris, for the update, and welcome back :)

Thanks for the great shout-out above, Chris. I so have enjoyed our interaction on some of the Blog articles over the past few years and look forward to many more.
You have indeed has been the genesis of so many fans' joining our great Jersey Boys family. Imagine our not being exposed to Stubbleyou's wisecracking humor or not knowing the secrets from Charly of how to get "pinged" from the stage. (OK, those are sometimes "hit and miss".)
Welcome home, Chris.

Chris - PLEASE - give us as much lead time as possible as to your schedule. We need to buy tickets. !!!!!

Chris: Any chance that you'll stay longer? I'll be there Sept. 17-19. Would love to see you as Frankie too.
Posted 3 years ago # -
YES YES YES!!! Gosh, I'd love to see him perform again. However, hopefully they can let us know what shows he would be in because I'd have to fly in from LA. Maybe, maybe, maybe they'll have a little advance notice and I can grab a ticket (both show and plane) and head out there! Gosh, I hope to be able to see Chris, Deven and Erich perform together again....that would be great!
Guess I'll be checking this and website to see if there are any updates!
Great news! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed!!

Chris was the first "Frankie" I got to enjoy and meet. How wonderful it would be to see him in the role again. Best wishes to Chris and his wife!

Okay, clarification is good. Yay! I still want to go to Vegas though...
Thanks for the information, Chris, I know you will thrill anyone who gets to see you, although Rick and Travis are wonderful as well. I'm looking forward to seeing you in your various upcoming shows!

And I'll be seeing him on August 29. Parents want to do the usual seasonal "Asian parents go to Vegas" thing. I'll also be seeing the show the following week because of an event I'm going to (yay for costume design contests! whee!).
How did I get this lucky?
Hope to finally see you, Chris!

Does ScarletRhapso know Chris'schedule? Has it been posted somewhere?
Posted 3 years ago # -
Chris doesn't even know his schedule yet. He hasn't even gotten to Vegas.
Posted 3 years ago # -
Nah, I don't know anyone schedules! lol
I'm just quite surprised that I'll be going to Vegas twice in the time frame he's on for Vegas. (family trip and costuming competition)

Hi everybody! I just finished my rehearsal week and am now back to being performance ready for Jersey Boys. Now that I'm firmly settled in Vegas for the next four weeks, I am able to give some further clarification on my role here. Once again, I was brought in solely to have some extra coverage in the case of an emergency. As such I have no confirmed shows as Frankie. Furthermore, in the event I go on I will most likely receive no more than a few hours notice. I regret that this may be bad news for those who might have wanted to plan trips to see me in this role, but I am hopeful that this will not be my last brush with Jersey Boys.
On a side note, I just want to say how fantastically talented this cast is. I feel blessed to be among these people for the next month and even more blessed that they have accepted me with open arms. This production is amazing and I feel privileged to be re-learning the role of Frankie here. Travis and Rick each bring different, vibrant colors to this role and I know audiences are most familiar with their portrayals. But it has also been my honor to sit in on understudy rehearsals and watch David Demato and Jonathan Gerard Rodriguez play Frankie, adding their own uniqueness. Having been in and around this show for three years, I think it's interesting to note that although Frankie is the most iconic of the Seasons, necessitating a certain amount of imitation of him in his portrayal, it truly is what each actor brings to the part from within themselves that makes their performance memorable. Each of these four men I've been able to observe is hugely talented and leave their mark on this role indelibly.
In closing, since I probably won't be posting again for a while, I'd like to say that a lot of things would have to go wrong for me to be able to perform the role here in the next four weeks. Too many people would have to be out of the show, and I have no desire to wish that on this cast. So if you happen to want to see me perform Frankie again, rather than hope for that, let's hope that I'll be able to do this show again somewhere down the road. Thanks again for all your support. It's been said before, but it bears repeating: the fans MAKE this show. So I thank you. God Bless.

Chris---
thanks for the update! Sorry to hear that you most likely won't have more than just a few hours notice, don't think I can make it from Los Angeles that quick :( Best of luck with covering the show and hopefully some of us will be able to catch you in future productions (JB or others).Posted 3 years ago # -
Ahh Chris, you're a class act. Wishing you all the best.
