Hello all. New member to the board here and I just wanted to throw this out there. Like I said I am new here but not new to the show. I have seen almost all of the productions nationwide and I must say I am very much impressed with all of them. Of course, if you were lucky enough to see the original OBC then you were indeed very lucky. Those actors raised the bar on how the show should be done and I am glad to see that everyone in all companies since them have kept the magic going strong.
What I would love to see is a one time shot that the original OBC doing 1 more performance together, maybe at the 4 year anniversary or something? JLY kept the idea open about coming back in his NY1 interview this year, this would be great for the show and for all of broadway. I know that JB is still strong at the box office and I hope this continues but A person can dream. I would love to see it and I am sure I am not the only one who would want it.
I love all of your comments and I look forward to reading and writing more. Have a safe and wonderful holiday season.

From your mouth to God's ear!!

Although one performance would never be enough (especially with the investment of bringing such a thing together). The four year anniversary just passed, so we could dream about the five, or ten year anniversary. You can only imagine the amount of buzz (or should I say hysteria?) such an event would create. Keep commenting, intheair.

What a great idea!!! Now if we all can convince those four guys and the powers that be!!! Although, one show would never be enough.

OK --- do we launch a campaign???????

this is a belated response, but just wanted to say that's a fabulous idea! a 5-yr reunion would be awesome. it doesn't hurt to ask or try to start a campaign...scheduling is always the biggest issue though...but getting the fans there sure wouldn't be. LOL

What a tremendous opportunity this would be for a fundraiser? Get the boys back together for ONE show, maybe TWO - have this as a benefit for BC/EFA or a split among favorite charities of each of the four OBC guys - it's a win - win. IE

Contacted BCEFA today. Don't think they can do it although they liked the idea. Any ideas from the fans? IE

Irene, what about the The Bachmann-Strauss Dystonia & Parkinson Foundation? Christian was the national spokesperson for that foundation for awhile...I'm not sure if he still is or not. Because it has a lower porfile (or at least that's my perception), they may be more open to a benefit. BCEFA has so many fund raising opportunities they may not feel the need quite as much. Just a thought...

Couldn't it be done similar to the Who's Tommy reunion? A Monday evening...when August Wilson is closed! Only we need at least two shows, or many fans might be left out. But that could be done, both on a Monday.

Bumping this up to see if anyone has any updates, like for Rockers on Broadway, fan get togethers, Who's Tommy reunion, etc.

A reunion show should be done at Radio City Music Hall. August Wilson to small for the amount of demand for tickets a show like this would cause.

It would certainly draw a ton of people who have never seen the show as well!! Nice thought!
