John, I recently sent you a letter telling you how much your letters have meant to me. I am so happy that I was able to see Jersey Boys with you in it. I know that I will look back on Jersey Boys and remember John Lloyd Young as Frankie. You know that there are so many fans of yours out there and your life in the entertainment has just begun. I hope you are "working your way" to brand new beginnings. Jersey Boys was a perfect point to start your life out on and I know that we will be in touch very soon. :) -A

    JLY,

I have to agree with JBfan--your blog entry today brought tears to my eyes. Both because of your incredibly beautiful spirit, and out of excitement for the $$ raised for the CFF. I can't wait to share it with my friend Jake (who has beautifully battled CF for 29 years) and I know the tears will come to him as well. We're not just starstruck here on this board: we're MOVED by a man who reminds us that yes, there are still amazing and genuine people out there. Thank you John Lloyd. Can't wait to share in your bright future! Can't wait to see you on the 8th!!

    Hi John,

Can't believe it has only been a year and a few months ago that I saw you on "Regis and Kelly" and thought, WOW!! It was the first I'd heard of you or "Jersey Boys"! Then the tonys (what an honor to earn this award in your Broadway Debut).....and I was hooked, you had a fan!! With your talent and integrity, your future will be bright. You can be sure I (we) will be following and supporting you in your future endeavors. As others have said, your stuck with us! All good to you, John!!

I would also like to thank you for your thoughtfulness. You've written to my daughter several times, always with such kindness and interest. What an incredible role model you are to my two "theater" kids. Your charity work and kindness to all your fans is truly admirable. You are someone very special!

    John Lloyd,

You first crossed my radar when I saw you perform in "The Chosen" at the Coconut Grove Playhouse in February 2004. It was evident as soon as you walked on stage that you had that special something that an actor needs to be successful. We have followed your career ever since that day. Although I have not been able to get up to NYC to see you perform in Jersey Boys, the JB CD is a constantly playing in the car, and my husband and I have seen every TV appearance and video clip of you performing. You are amazingly talented and I know you will have a long, successful career ahead of you. I cannot wait to see what other great roles lie ahead for you. As others have said on this board, I think you are "stuck" with us as fans for life!!!!

Thank you everyone, I'm so glad you are here telling JLY how you feel about him. It's true John will be fine, but as long as we can still follow his career, it will be geat for us too. Jen and I have tickets for Nov.6th. We're looking foward to seeing everybody at the stage door. John Lloyd, I started this post for you because I wanted you to see all the love that JBB has for you. Yes, we will miss you as "Franke". But looking foward to your next Big Roll...See you Tuesday night....Jody

John: Thank you for the reply to my NYC report on the Jersey Boys Blog! It definitely has been a great ride, since watching the teasers on Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, among countless others. I would think that the high point of being a "fantastic fan" was meeting you, the OBC, Brickman & Elice and Original Four Seasons in person! That's akin to getting the key to NYC, an audience with the Pope, or hitting a jackpot! I'm sure that the other fans that have never met the OBC and "founding fathers" must have felt, except that I did live the "Jersey Boy" life in Trenton and Jersey City as a teen, which I enjoyed and hope to experience more often again.

As I sat in my home in Islip, LI in the early 80's, the NYC radio stations always played the Four Seasons standards as well as the obscure songs too. Now you and your cast initially introduced Jersey Boys to a massive market in NY, "brought Frankie Valli's music to life" and won Grammy and Tony awards along the way, entertaining the entire nation via TV and onstage.

We'll never forget your generousity, your kindness and always accommodating manner when meeting fans, your humble personality which is the best quality a superstar can have, and we'll never forget what you've contributed to Broadway and the entertainment world. Your presence truly made the "Great White Way" shine brighter than ever!

    We'll definitely keep in touch!

  20. Dear JL,

I have been a fan of Jersey Boys for almost 3 years now but only had the pleasure of meeting you approximately 2 1/2 months ago. I truly respect and admire your passion, determination, discipline, generous dedication to your fans and above all your benevolence. You truly are an exquisite, gifted individual.

My Friend, I cannot wait for the next chapter in your extremely promising professional career......I will continue to support you in all your future endeavors.

So excited about the show this evening!!

    Much Love & Blessings,
    Charly

John Lloyd -- It seems you touched a lot of us by your most recent blog entry. You may be moving on in your career, but you are stuck with all of us! I was lucky enough to see you as Frankie and look forward to your concert in February. You may have won lots of us female fans by your good looks, but you KEPT us by your kindness!

Hi, John. The courage with which you undertake challenges and face an unknown future is very inspiring. I will always remember the quotation in your blog about how a ship would be secure in the harbor but its bottom would rot.

We will miss your outstanding performances as Frankie but do look forward to seeing you in another role of a lifetime. Good luck in all you do!

    Dear JL:

Thanks for adding to my 50th celebration on Nov 1. After seeing the show in July and corresponding with you since, it was the ultimate finally getting to meet you. Thanks so much for the bd kiss and hug and the picture. The best part of the night was when I introduced myself and my sisters and you asked "Are you Grace 'Ruggiero'"? My sisters celebrated with me in AC after the show for 2 days and that was the running joke line all weekend from them. "Are you Grace 'Ruggiero'"? We found it very funny but I guess you had to be there to really get it. At least, now, since my sisters finally saw the show COMPLETELY understand my obsession with the show and with you. All the cast were extremely sweet to us after the show. We also got to meet Dr. Phil, who was the reason all us fans waited a long time to meet the 4 main case memebers, but it was way worth the wait. I spoke to Jennifer briefly and she agrees there will be a lot of tears on the 21st. I thought the applause would never stop after "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" and I saw the emotion, as always, in those gorgeous eyes of yours. I can't even imagine what the 21st is gonna be like but I'm sooooooooo thrilled I'll be part of it. My son, Frankie, thanks you for the special autogragh and was so happy when I gave it to him. I was going to write you directly but I decided to enter in the blog so you don't feel obligated to spend time answering. I know how considerate you are but you need to enjoy these last few weeks and concentrate and soak up all this love on your last rungs of this great successful ladder you have climbed during your JB run. As I told you on Thurs, see ya on the 21st and again in February. CANNOT wait for either! Enjoy John Lloyd and as always, you'll be in my prayers that your last few weeks will continue to be happy and healthy. Take care, Grace xoxoxoxoxox

Hi JLY, just wanted to say hello. Hope you had a nice Saturday. I just came home from the Water Club. It was my Aunt and Uncle's 64th Anniversary. It's the only family I have left from my Mother's side. They are great people, you would like them. It seems I have been thinking of you quite a lot. Probably because you only have a short time to go. You must be going from happy to sad, your emotions must be going crazy. I want you to know , your fans are going through the same thing. I just want you to know we are thinking about you all the time. I know I am, and I know all the JBB'S, are feeling the same thing..See you on Tuesday, for the 2nd. Anniversary...Jody

    Hi John Lloyd,

It’s been wonderful to read all the comments made here. It’s hard to come up with anything else that hasn’t already been said.

It was your talent that brought you to Jersey Boys and to our attention. Your amazing performance made us sit up and take notice. It could easily have ended there.

But you made the extraordinary effort to warmly embrace your fans and we got to know John Lloyd, the man.

Your heart and soul and your inner beauty has captured our hearts, our admiration, deep respect and unwavering loyalty. Your deep compassion and sensibility is what sets you apart and puts in you a class by yourself.

It has been a blessing to have crossed paths with you. I hope that in some way we are able to give back to you what you have given to us. All the very best to you and your family.

You can count on this fan "to stay in touch and to follow me into my future endeavors."

    Best of luck!
