Saw the current first touring cast a few days ago - very good and competent all around.
I was very happy to finally catch the outstanding JLB as Frankie, and he did not disappoint. Very solid supporting cast as well. But the most USEFUL piece of info I have to share with you - like you need me to convince you to go, right? - is that at http://www.hottix.org/, you can find discount tickets for countless Chicago area shows, large and small, or just try typing in "hottix" as the promo code on Ticketmaster. Things seem to vary from night to night, but I got 2nd row center orchestra for $56! Well worth checking out.

Just got back to Houston from Chicago. Had a great time with and no problems with the Nato Rallies. Got to see "Jersey Boys" twice and loved every minute. Preston is wonderful as Bob and has just the right blend of youth and wisdom. John is a Tommy not to be missed. He has just the right swagger but also shows the sensitive side. Michael is marvelous as Nick...and shows Nicks quirkiness to perfection. And of course there is Joseph Leo Bwarie...sigh....PERFECTION as Frankie. All of the other cast guys and gals were fantastic. Oh what a trip...
