Zachary Prince posted some interesting news on his website. Looks like he'll be one of the Frankie covers for the Broadway Company this coming December. He'll post more details later on. I guess someone was wrong about something, some of you know what I'm talking about.

His Myspace bio is pretty funny, too:
"Hey people! Zach here. I was playing Frankie Valli twice a week on the road and now I'm heading off to the broadWAY! I will post info on performance dates and such here. Weee"Posted 5 years ago # -
Yes, Leanna, I believe he was overheard telling relatives he'd be leaving the Sherry cast at some point, but the listening party didn't catch for where. Best of luck to Zach; he sounds like a very welcome addition, and, yeah, his MySpace page is pretty entertaining.

Hmmm, I wonder who'll replace him on the road. They must have someone in mind. He wasn't on the road very long before going to the B'way company. Maybe they're bringing in a new alt when the new Bob Gaudio joins the show too. Interesting. I mentioned it to Erich last night at the door before the show and he was like news sure travels fast. I said thanks to the JB blog yes it does. :)

from that earlier thread, passed on to me from a friend, it sounded like the destination for zachary was unknown- therefore, it probably could have been NY, how was whoever supposed to know?

JBfanatic568, if you're refering to a thread that went bye bye, that person made it sound like they heard it directly from Zachary but they probaby assumed the worst. As far as I know almost everyone who has left any of the companies of Jersey Boys decided to leave to move onto other things or got pulled to be part of a new company.

Zachary has amended some info on his news page:

Mike, ah, yes...I am vaguely aware of that. I've heard there is supposed to be a lot of switching and swapping in casts after Seattle. Is this true?

I've heard there is supposed to be a lot of switching and swapping in casts after Seattle. That's the rumor. Nothing has been said regarding the subject recently or has been confirmed. Just some speculatons from things that people gleaned from websites/message board.

"Just some speculatons from things that people gleaned from websites/message board."
So is it just erich who is leaving for sure since he announced it?
Posted 5 years ago # -
Yeah. And he's given no mention of what his future plans will be.
Posted 5 years ago # -
The Jersey Boys Podcast interviewed Zach on 11/28/07 and he did not mention any future plans.

did anybody here see any of zachary's performances in costa mesa? just curious, 'cause i saw him on his second night as frankie in san diego, and he struggled a bit especially with his falsetto. he certainly got the looks and his acting was solid especially with the grown up frankie, but it was noticeable even from his first entrance in "sillhouettes" that he was struggling with his singing voice. his voice cracked trying to reach the high notes during "in the mood for love" and "can't take my eyes...". it was probably a combination of nerves, unfamiliarity with the role, and being the new guy in the group. I'm sure he has gotten better after settling into the role and with the group. It'll be interesting to read what others who have seen him in later performances think.

Boy0210~ then you definitely got a bad night for Zachary Prince, 'cause when he is on, he is ON! I got to see him twice in Costa Mesa. First night he cracked on one song, but it wasn't horribly noticeable. Second time I went he just blew me away with his voice- it was flawless, as was his performance. He's really racking up some fans now, and his portrayal of Frankie is so different from the others that I have seen. I can only anticipate much bigger and better news about him in the future, he's working his way to the top.

Yea, I saw him in San Diego, but overheard that he was suffering from a sinus infection. I saw him a couple of times in Costa Mesa and he blew me away! His acting is impeccable and his singing voice is soooo beautiful!
Posted 5 years ago # -
JBfanatic568, how is he so different? I'll probably never get to see him, so do elaborate. :)
Posted 5 years ago # -
chortheatre- yes, he did have a sinus infection the first day he went on, it lasted about a week, i heard.
leanna- well......to be honest, he's a lot like Rick Faugno, in my opinion. but he plays a very sweet and young Frankie. Very naive. but then in at the end of Act 1 (and on through Act 2), he REALLY grows up and with his line "sit down" the whole theatre was SOOOO quiet. You could hear a pin drop. I can't explain exactly how he's different, he just....is.
For example, Chris plays a very rough-around-the-edges Frankie. Cute and innocent, but he learns quick. For Zach, it seems that his Frankie takes a little longer to really catch on to how much people use him and he's very sensitive, though he doesn't often show it. I guess that's the best I can do. ha. I loved Zach's performances though.

I have to say, I saw Zach twice the most recent being on the 28th in Costa Mesa...Zach was FANTASTIC!!!! Honestly, I 've seen the show so many times with different "Frankies" I have to say Zach was GREAT!! so during the Fallen Angel scene of course I knew what was expected, I actually found myself on the verge of tears!! Lets not get started on Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You!! it was simply AMAZING!! At all of the performances I've been to, the audience was never that silent I mean SILENT during the serious scenes. Like chortheatre said earlier...Zachs acting & singing is incredible!! Best of luck to Zach in whatever he does, and like JBfanatic568 said also about Zach racking up some fans, i guess u can count me in on that lol :)

SOCALJBFAN- you are preachin' to the choir! haha. thanx for that. seriously. I always love to hear about people that enjoy zach's performances like I do. And YES. His "Fallen Angel" is simply incredible. I had not cried in that scene since the first time I saw the show (with Rick Faugno as Frankie, first time) and when I saw him do it, it brought me to tears once again.

I love your choice of words JBfanatic568!!! I think Zach is FANTASTIC!!! like I said before. If you have the chance to see him don't pass it up, you will be completely satisfied!! :)

Well...I got to see Zachary in Costa Mesa, CA twice. Sometimes the acting in musicals can be a little lacking. But I must say, his acting is very strong with a nice honesty to it. His ballads are heart breakers. And, let's face it. He is so cute. Has anybody heard where he is headed to after Seattle? O.K. I'm addicted. Is there a Jersey Boys A.A. meeting somewhere tonite?
Posted 5 years ago # -
TheatreCA1- haha. possibly. and there has been a lot of discussion on where he's going after Seattle. who knows? I think broadway would do him good, but he's really blossoming on the touring cast as well. Only time will tell.
And I agree, his acting is really top-knotch, it really suits this show.Posted 5 years ago #
