Our Jersey Boys are wonderful, but what about those Jersey Girls!!??? It seems that the guys get all the attention and glory, and yes, they do deserve it, BUT, without the Jersey Girls there wouldn't be a show.......it all works together! These women are pretty amazing with all the roles they play and they are extremely talented individuals. So, let's hear it for Jennifer, Erica, Sara and Heather!!! They're reheasing a cabaret right now about their Journey to Jersey Boys. I think we need to keep up with what's going on with the "ladies" in the show and what else they may be involved in and give them the credit they so deserve. I say "YOU GO JERSEY GIRLS" we love you!!!!!

I agree that the Jersey Girls are wonderful! They are all so nice and gracious. I have a great correspondence with Jennifer Naimo, and she is so wonderful. Everytime I visit the stage door she gives me a big hug. The first time I met her she said, "I feel like I've known you for such a long time" because we had been emailing for quite some time before I met her.

A - So glad you agree. Jen is a friend of mine and she is such a wonderful human being - so full of love, joy and giving, not to mention all that talent inside one tiny person. As a matter of fact, I think that you and I were at the same Frankie Valli concert at Proctors in Schenectady, NY. I've read your replies on Jen's website and when you'd mentioned that you'd gone to the concert, I mentioned to Jen that I thought we might live pretty close to each other......Anyway, here's to those wonderful Jersey Girls getting the recognition they so deserve!!!!

I remember when I first saw Jersey Boys, I was about to meet JLY and I saw Erica and we both said hi. It was a short encounter. I e-mail Jen sometimes, she's really nice. Also I leave a comment on Heather's MySpace. She's so sweet and funny!! I haven't met Sara yet. I'm hopig to see the tour so I can meet Melissa, Jackie, Sandra, and Jennifer. Gotta love the Jersey Girls!

    JBJN54,
I did see the Frankie Valli concert, he was spectacular! So energetic and fun. He was very busy with a lot of concerts in the last few months. Every other day he was somewhere else.

I email Jen very often too. All of that talent in Jen is bursting with every performance. I have met Sara and Erica briefly.

Leanna, I'm sorry, you are so right, I neglected to include the Jersey Girls who are not in NY. I don't know them, but I'm sure they're wonderful too. I guess I was thinking about the show in LaJolla and NYC (going back to the beginning) and it bothered me that the girls were rarely mentioned. So, it's time that we make sure that doesn't happen anymore!!! Thanks!

Do you email Jen? I do very frequently.
Do you comment on her website? If so, what name do you comment by, because I think she might have mentioned you in one of her emails to me.
Glad to find a fellow Jen fan!

A- As a matter of fact, Jen did mention to me that she'd mentioned me to you in an email and thought you might have contacted me. I had mentioned to her that I thought you attended the same Frankie concert that I had. Yes, she and I talk frequently.

That is so funny! I am glad to know that. Its so great that this show has brought so many people together! Are you attending the show anytime soon?

A, you're right. I have enjoyed meeting great people as fellow JB fans through the internet and in person. Isn't it wonderful that a show could bring people together like that?

Those Jersey Girls are such hard workers! It's hard to believe that there's only four girls when there's so many female supporting roles. I wonder how many costume/wig changes they go through in one show. I applaud all the Jersey Girls. Jenny Lee, Lauren, Lyndsey, and Kara are just incredible!

JBfan, yes it is even more exciting now to listen to everybody coming together on the message board.

Jersey Girls are hard workers! Jen told me that she changes roughly 29 times. I have seen the wigs they have too, and all the wigs have the actors name on it!

Yeah it is exciting to see so many posts in this short amount of time the boards have existed.

Wow, 29 times for one show. That's so crazy.

I know. I told Jen that changing 29 times must be horrible, but it puts on for a great show. I think many first-timers do not realize how many times the girls change during the show, I know I didn't, especially if you sit for the first time in the mezz. Jen also said that the girls wear 3 inch heels during Who Loves You. What a high heel!

I remember reading an article about the Jersey Girls in the SF chronicle when the first tour was in SF. It talked about everything that happend backstage, I couldn't how many quick changes they go through in one performance.

Here it is! The podcast is fun, too. Apparently Bob Gaudio really did lose his virginity to a lady of the night. ;)

Leanna, Thank you so much for sharing that podcast! I was aware of all the changes, as well as pretty much getting out of costume on stage. It's always fun to read about these things that make live theatre so wonderful!!! It's an honor to be fortunate enough to be asked backstage to see how everything works. This is so great that so many people are posting here about the girls.....Many thanks!!!!

A - I do have tickets to see the show a couple more times, but not until fall. I'm an actress/singer too and have performances all summer so I'm not able to get to the city until my shows close. Maybe we'll end up at the same show sometime, wouldn't that be fun!!!

All the Jersey Boys and all the Jersey Girls make a phenomenal team - in all venues. Bravo! IE

    JBJN54,
That would be funny if we do end up at the same performance! Lol, I do not have any tickets in my hand, but I visit the city frequently and I always arrive at the August Wilson Theatre, which seems like a second home to many of us here! :)
Everything works so intricately backstage....everything and everyone has a place. I have been backstage at even local theatres, and everything needs to be precise.
Yes, the love of the Jersey Girls is great!

How funny, I just got an email from Jen. She is so nice. I told her about this site:
http://www.jerseyboysecrets.com/. Has anyone ever been to it? Its supposed to let you in on how to get tickets to the show and how to get backstage passes, at a price. I don't know if it is credible or not. Jen isn't sure about it either.....

I really have to give the Jersey Girls their credit for what they do on and off stage and at the dressing room. After speaking to Jennifer Evans from the 1st Tour Cast, she mentioned the hundreds of quick changes in one week's worth of performances, as well as taking steps to avoid collisions with other fellow cast members while getting from one side of the stage to another.

I'm not sure how the Ahmanson's backstage area is, but the Curran Theatre had a basement area with the dressing areas, pit orchestra in two rooms where they view the performance via close circuit TV and a hallway connecting both stage left and right. Since the Ahmanson looks modernized, the Jersey Girls there probably have an easier time with quick changes in LA compared to when they were at the Curran.

All four of the Jersey Girls have been so sweet when I met them. I talk to Jen Naimo threw e-mail alot. I wrote Erica a letter and she wrote the sweetest letter back. They don't get alot of credit, they work very hard in the show. Is anyone going to the Journey To Jersey Boys at Ars Nova in August? I just got my tickets in the mail yesterday,I can't wait to the the Jersey Girls(plus Travis)perform.

    Ragdoll4390,
I haven't wrote anything to Erica, though I have been thinking about it. How long did it take her to respond? Hope you will have fun at the Journey to Jersey Boys!

OK JB fans, how does everyone feel about who should play the Jersey Girls in the film, if, in fact, the film happens???? I say, the original Broadway Jersey Girls - Jennifer, Erica, Sara & Heather - should be offered to recreate their roles on film first...........if they cannot do the film, then it should be open to casting auditions. Just read that Amanda Bynes, of the film HairSpray, would be interested in playing "the girl who gets Frankie Valli", well, is that Mary or Lorraine??
