Every other actor who plays Frankie has their own thread execpt for Rick, so here's his. And I know this was posted in another thread but here's Rick's clip from Pete & Pete.

Rick is one of the nicest guys you could ever want to meet and he is truly a great talent. April 4th can't come quick enough for me!

I have only seen Rick as "Joey" and like you Gary I look forward to Vegas 4/4!!

I wonder how old he was -- Pete & Pete ran from 1993 to 1996, and Rick's certainly not the first Frankie to defy Father Time. ;)

Stubbleyou, I have never seen you at a loss for words. Are you okay? :)

Lol, linda. I said something really stupid - with a factual error - and knew all o'youse would jump all over me for it, so I deleted it post haste.

Whew, I thought maybe you had laryngitis of the fingers! :)

Rick played Frankie during the night I saw JB in Sacramento. I met him at the stage door and he was the nicest guy and we had a good conversation since I was the last and only person left.
When we said good-bye, he asked if I was going to be ok walking to my car since it was late at night...it seemed as if he was going to offer to walk me for my safety which I thought was so sweet and thoughtful! But, I had told him I wasn't too far and I would be okay.
I'm glad he's playing Frankie in Vegas...it's a great opportunity for him to be the lead Frankie. He's a good guy.
I hope to see that show one of these days!

The first time we saw Jersey Boys was at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles CA. Summer time. Rick Faugno played Frankie Valli and from that time on - we were huge Faugno (Fawn-yo) fans. He was an alternate at the time but we believed he could be the lead Frankie one day - and on April 4,2008 his moon is in Taurus. Vegas has Four Aces and hits the jackpot with the Jersey Boys Team.
I am so looking forward to meeting all the JB Fans this 4.4.08 (Gary - especially you). See you guys soon :)

We're all looking forward to 4+4=08, Angel! Irene is really cooking up a great event, and we're working on a breakfast get together on Sat. morning as well. Say Hi to your mom!

Mark your calenders, start your engines...
Rick's the man starting April 4th.
Posted 5 years ago # -
And I'll be seeing him the 5th! What about you?

Gary,
You are so right, Rick was totally AMAZING.....What a multi-talent!! I was able to see him 3x's and I was just like "WOW" everytime.

I'm so happy that Rick has stepped into the limelight and claimed it for his own. He is such a sweetheart, and always gracious to his fans. He's paid his dues, and like Frankie, this is HIS time!

Wow Charly, that's so great to hear. Now I'm thinking how I can get back there to see him again (along with Joe Bwarie). We have not heard the last from this kid, either. I have big plans for him: concerts, tour dates, the cover of CASH BOX, etc! LOL
When he finishes his run as Frankie and gets back to NYC, I want him to do a one-man show with singing and dancing. We will need a big stage. Have you ever seen this boy dance? He is one of the best dancers this side of Gene Kelly! He was in Fosse on Broadway and we would need to book him into a place with a really big stage so he can work his magic. Hey, do I hear another JB reunion coming on?

I love Rick. He does a fabulous Frankie and is an incredibly nice person. I loved how he asked the "Jersey Boys FANatics" for their autographs after their debut performance on Friday, April 4. He is a class act as is the rest of the cast. IE

Those effortless splits, that perfect spin and all those fluid, graceful moves......I knew he had to be a trained professional.
Rick really made an impression on all of us.....so sweet and so gracious. Joyce Chittick who plays Mary Delgado and is Rick's real life love is also a sweetheart.......they both really shine in their scenes together.

Charly,
I totally agree with you!! This was my first time seeing Rick as Frankie, and he was fabulous, really owned the role, and was a strong presence throughout the show. He moved as beautifully as he sang, and had a real emotional connection with the audience. It was fun seeing him and Joyce on stage together with palpable chemistry. They were both incredibly gracious and personable afterwords; a pleasure to speak with, both class acts indeed. Gary will soon be taking over Rick's PR department!

He is a great dancer. And I think he may resemble Frankie the most. Great to hear that everyone is having fun watching him in Vegas! You know who is an even better dancer? Joyce Chittick!!!

You're so right, Tally. I saw Joyce a few years ago in The Pajama Game, and she danced incredibly. Her moves in Steam Heat were top notch. She has her own slant as Mary Delgado, and looks great on stage with Rick.

I have been a great fan of Rick Faugno from the get-go...ever since he started playing alternate for Frankie at the Ahmanson Theatre. We loved his dance moves and his acting ability. He was the reason we watched the show every Tuesday and Sunday which were his regular schedule. We started watching him on June 12 and predicted that he will someday play Frankie's role on a regular basis. "Who knew" that he will play the great Frankie in Las Vegas, no less. Rick's stars are in alignment ! "Some people are born to be great".

Gary and Angel, both of you have been raving about Rick for the better part of the last year. Indeed, Angel, we began having such a heated discussion on the Blog (no Bulletin Board yet) that we had to continue on the phone. Gary, you were a bit less dramatic than Angel, but knowing you've seen a gazillion Frankies and Rick was at or close to the top, I had to respect your thoughts. Yet, I was still skeptical.
Well, guys, after Friday night, all doubt is erased. The guy was terrific--and what a voice! Mama Rose from Gypsy would have told him to tone it down!!

Wow, Gary, I had no idea that Rick was a super gifted dancer...to be compared to Gene Kelly is high praise! While I enjoy seeing him as Frankie now, in the future, I would love to see him in a role that highlights more dancing!
Rick is such a nice, humble guy...I'm so glad that he's got his own "gig" in Vegas and to play alongside his sweetheart Joyce must be a double blessing for both of them.

Rick is "a class act!" I too am so happy that he's had a chance to come into his own as Frankie. From seeing him way back when until now, I can say his growth as a performer has been tremendous and he clearly has an amazing work ethic. It will be fun watching him in Vegas for a long time. (But Dina, I had the same thought...it would be great to see him in a role in the future where he can showcase his dancing skills as well!)

I second that promotion (from tour alternate to Vegas lead). There is just nothing less than excellent about any facet of RF's performance. Bingo!

Hello Howard! Thank you so much for the great comments about Rick. I'm glad you liked him. Can't believe it was nine months ago since we planned to get together to catch his performance. And finally, it did happen! He really sang great didn't he - and the chemistry in the cast - wasn't it fabulous? Can't wait till I go back to Vegas - perhaps on May 2. Have a great day Howard!

I have to add my name to the list of Rick Faugno fans. Granted, I didn't have the best seat in the house on April 4th (last row, orchestra), but I couldn't help- repeatedly thinking how much he looked like Frankie Valli. He is a wonderful talent and a real charmer. I've seen clips of his dancing on Youtube and his stage moves are as great as everyone says. I just hope I can get back to see him (and Joe!) this year. I really think we need a Vegas reunion before Orlando next year. Vegas can handle us one more time...don't you think?!

I'm new here to this board.
I just saw Jersey Boys last night at the Palazzo. I didn't want to leave; the show was fabulous. And Rick (and the others) were amazing.
