We really had a good time on the Premier Four Seasons/ JB Bus Tour on Sunday February 25, 2008 (http://jerseyboysblog.com/?p=2449) and I hope to have many more in the future. These Tours will not be identical.

We might have Tours with different themes: Jersey Boys/ Broadway theme; Gaudio/Valli theme, Tommy DeVito sights, Joe Long/ Nick Massi/ Tom Austin, (etc) themes; Special Guests Tours; Musical Moments Tour, Belleville/Newark/Jersey Journeys. We'll have mini and full day Tours as well as private Tours. The possibilities are endless.

Please watch for dates that may work for you or email me that you'd like to be kept posted. The sooner I know about your potential interest, the better! jerseyboysadvocate@yahoo.com.

Right now, I'm gathering names of people for the first and last Sundays in May. Please be in touch ASAP if you think you're interested. Thanks.

I'll need to finalize plans soon and make sure everyone, who may be interested, is on my email list. Anyone else? I hope to be including the home where Bob Gaudio was living during HS, when he wrote the music for Short Shorts.

    Audrey,
I am interested in the first Sunday in May. Where are you leaving from?

Beverley, I have combined the two May tours- now May 25th! The exact configuration of stops is being determined since more places have been added. We'll basically be leaving from the Newark area (but you can ride up with me, since we're coming from the same direction). I'll have more details soon. This tour will be even more extensive and include more places related to Bob Gaudio's former home of Bergenfield.

Audrey, what time will the tour start and where will it begin? The Newark train stop?

Lulu!! How do I miss these posts? Too much time with my head buried in the tour maps, I think. (Don't kid with me Lulu...is there a chance you can join us??? We will be going to Bergenfield to see more sights related to Bob Gaudio, which I know you would have liked in the first tour.)

Since this is... for and from the people, I want to reserve a little wiggle room to accommodate the nuances of the specific people. That having been said, I think there will be a train stop (Newark) starting point AND a second point nearby with free parking. I'm in the midst of deciding the exact duration of the tour (there is SO much to see), but a good estimate is about 10:30-4 with lunch maybe at the famous Dickee Dees Hot Dog place. Lots of Frankie Valli stuff on the wall there. If everyone who has told me they might come...does, we're just about full! It's not a big van. I need to know if there is anyone else who hopes to come...with your final & definite decision to follow very, very quickly! My email is given above.

Audrey, I really did try to work this out becuase I know this is going to be even better than the first tour...and that one was great! (Reduced flights Memorial Day weekend prevent me from flying out Sunday morning...I have a wedding to attend Saturday night.) But how cool is that ...checking out Bergenfield and eating at Dickie Dee's Hotdog Place? I want pictures...reports...and the date for the Fall tour!

I spent all day yesterday driving more and more areas of Four Seasons Country- as it was around the 60's. With Walt Gollender next to me, Tom Austin on the cell phone and lots of notes (thanks to members of the Gaudio family & Jim Petrecca), maps, addresses stashed in the glove compartment, I found Gaudio's parent's home when he was a teenager, I walked the halls of his HS ( http://gilgweb.com/CBSSMwmv.html ) and saw the first home Bob bought in the next town over. We went to the street where Joe Long, while with the Seasons, had a home before moving to CA.

We checked out the place where the Four Lovers played and the furniture store where they got 'The Romans' name. We left no stone unturned in our search for `locational' history.

The Next Four Seasons Tour is just over 3 weeks away. The first one in February http://jerseyboysblog.com/?p=2449 was a wonderful success thanks to the support of everyone here (and more than 50 hours of massive planning too, of course- team project). We have a dozen people signed up- with limited space left because the vehicle has to be small enough to maneuver around the neighbors. By the way, no NYC stops this time. I can make some slight accomodations for meeting places and timing if I have my full enrollment list of people VERY soon. (Jury Duty coming next week- doesn't the County understand my deadlines :)

Join us for the `Memorial Day Memory Tour'!!

I thought this YouTube of Frankie and Tommy at Frankie's Man of the Year dinner was short, but sweet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPZnS3WWp1A&feature=related. We pass the place that this event was held on the Bus Tour. (This Tour is just a 'fan project', so if anyone would like to help with it, let me know.)

Here is the preview of the May 25th Tour posted on the Blog last week:http://jerseyboysblog.com/?p=2645

Phlash Phelps did a little interview with me about the Four Seasons Neighborhood Bus Tour that will be run on tomorrow's show- probably between 9 and noon on the 60's show on Channel 6, xmradio.com (on direct TV, I believe it is on Channel 803). Everyone gets a free three day trial, aol subscribers get a TWO WEEK trial.

(Thanks to Danielle Gaudio Lalehzar for letting me know that Phlash had mentioned the bus tour on his show and alerted me to his interest in speaking with me!)

Thanks, Lulu. The weather is going to be great, the company and the content as well! Danielle Gaudio Lalehzar has sent a message for everyone and a little 'party favor'.

Although we are seeing several new sights, I don't think I'll do an article/ coverage since there was Blog coverage after the first tour (but then again...maybe I will :) I am thinking about July 27 for the summer tour, in case anyone wants to let me know of their interest. Next time, I'll send registration forms out and determine 2-3 weeks beforehand if that date works for a 'critical mass' of people.

I'm gearing up for the next Bus Tour, scheduled for Sunday, July 27. This will be the third of our 4 seasons- with successful winter and spring tours behind us. If you are interested in seeing all the sights we pack into the 4.5 hours, email me no later than June 30! For logistical reasons, the price goes up $10 if you register after that.(Bus reservations, etc. all have to be managed and can present problems with last minute changes.)

Here is video coverage of the second tour Memorial Day weekend:

Ouy! I just finished watching the You Tube and that was after watching the Hullabaloo video. I am now looking for my white go go boots! The tour looked like so much fun and all of you were so cute with your Jersey accents. I know you are thinking "what accents?" Thanks for sharing this with us out in the boonies. No tours, no sites, no stars. We do have the music though.

I spent a lot of time in that area as a friend of mine lived nearby. Well all I can say is "who knew". I should have paid more attention.

Charly, Big Joe was at the 4 Seasons Street Dedication on Wednesday, as was the Michael D'Amato who edited that great youtube posted above. Township of Union cable TV was there, too.

Wow, that video is great Audrey. "If you build it, they will come". And they have come, my friend.

I couldn't make the last tour as I was on the West Coast, but will make the next one along with my friend and huge Four Seasons fan Priscilla Florindi. In fact, that weekend, we have one of my work colleagues over from England and he may join us too. (Yeah, everyone over there has heard of "Jersey Boys".)

Please consider this posting the official registration for Priscilla and me--we made the deadline by June 30! Whew!

Howard, thanks for your reservations. I'm glad you'll be on board! For this and future tours though, registration is official after 'the check is in the mail' unless you are a repeat customer. Just call me... Audrey Businesswoman.

A couple more days to email me, folks, and get your registration in progress and save yourself the $10 fee for those not registering by July 1! (My hope is to sell out before July 1st, of course. Gee, I wonder if the bus company allows SRO :)

Just a reminder of some of the places we will see...
The place where Tommy DeVito first called Frankie Valli up on stage
Two homes where Tommy Devito lived as a child
The home where Tommy raised his kids
The place Frankie Valli was living when "Sherry" hit and where he lived as a child
The place where Bob Gaudio wrote "Sherry" one afternoon.
The place where the famous 'Jersey Contract' handshake took place
The street where Tom Austin and Bob Gaudio saw the girls who inspired "Short Shorts"
We'll see where the group, the Romans, played and where Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi owned a business.
There is even more- as yet not mentioned.

We'll go inside a local tavern and soak up the rich neighborhood ambiance of photo covered walls. This is the place where Jersey Boys cast members have gone to do their research.

Email me soon...there is just under three weeks now till we get this "tour on the road".

I hope to do some Blog coverage of the third bus tour from a few days ago. In the meantime, I'm hoping that most of you have checked out the Youtube coverage of the Memorial Day weekend tour posted by Michael of Edison Cable TV. It is really well edited! (I love the appropriate song/ clip he used for the very end of the piece.)
