Since CKJ is leaving soon, I think it would be cool if those who have seen him perform post their goodbyes, thank yous, best wishes, and just how much they've enjoyed him in JB, sort of as a going away present. I could send it to him via email ( I might retype it in another document,) or if anyone is going to see him in Cincinnati soon before he leaves, he or she could print is out and give it to him. Any other ideas are welcome. Also leave your name when you sign it, instead of your blog name.

    Here I go,

    Dear Chris,
I have been so fortunate to see you in Jersey Boys four times. I wish I could see you as Frankie one more time, but I know that even after that I'd still be wanting to see you again! You have a gorgeous voice and an amazing stage presence. I loved watching you every minute on stage. You have never failed to make me cry during "My Eyes Adored You" and "Fallen Angel," and I get chills just thinking about your "Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You." I also thank you for how sweet you have been at the stage door and through email. You have always been such a gentleman and so generous with your time. Thank you for all the fantastic performances you have given and all your time and effort. Jersey Boys will miss you terribly, and I wish you the best of luck in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and everything that you do afterwards. A man of your talent is surely destined for great things. Good luck!

Has it been established if Chris' leave is temporary or permanent?

Hm, not sure. The only information that they're giving out is that he's doing it for the summer.

    So all doors are open.

    For now.

    DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUUUN.

Chis, I was lucky to see you in JB 5 times here in Houston. I was also blessed to get to meet you and tell you how great I thought you were. I hope you always keep that passion for the theater that is so obvious when you are on stage. Good luck in "Joseph" and any other future endeavors. Perhaps I will be blessed and get to see you again. You certainly leave big shoes to fill in the JB tour cast. Bless you and your wife. Phillygalg (Gladys)

    I'm pretty sure it's permanent.

I'm positive it's permanent unless he choses to go at a later date because I asked him in Costa Mesa in person what his plans were as I figured their one year contract was just about up and was wondering if he was staying or not. He said that he had signed on for 6 more months which put it into June sometime. I'm sure if he was interested in staying longer than 6 months he would've signed a year's contract or something.

For some of us, Jersey Boys will never be the same without Chris.

Not everyone wants to do this stuff publicly. ;-)

The first time I saw JB was with another Frankie. I enjoyed it very much, but I didn't become a fan until I saw it with Chris.
There was just something about his performance that hooked me - can't really explain it. That was the start of my passion for Jersey Boys. Of the 30+ times (in five different cities) that I have seen Chris perform, I have marveled at how he can do that mammoth role over and over with such perfection while being on the road, living out of a suitcase, away from home and family. That's what makes his performances so special. It's one thing to do this difficult Frankie role in a sit-down and quite another to do it in the touring company.

He will be truly missed, but I look forward to following his career. I wish him great success as he leaves the JB tour. I believe that his talent and graciousness will take him far.
