Love this video!!! I was too young (and naive of popular music) at the time to know about a show like Hullabaloo (or The 4 Seasons for that matter!), but thank goodness for personal maturity and performances like this one captured on tape!!! I’ve seen this clip before on a Hullabaloo DVD, and I also own a copy of it as part of the Jersey Beat boxed set. But it’s nice to have it available on the JBB as well. And Frankie Valli’s live lead vocal on this certainly does recreate the sound of the original recording. In fact, I believe this performance was aired on February 1, 1966, within a month of the single’s release. Thanks for the great post!

Oh my – what a memory. I saw this when it was on TV. I have always been a fan and now with “Jersey Boys” all of the music is back and being discovered by a new generation. Best wishes Frankie and hope to see you in person soon.

This video is on the …Jersey Beat…The Music of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. I love it! It’s hard to believe that Frankie’s still touring today. That shows a lot of ambition and love for his talent of singing. Congrats on a great career, Frankie! I’m looking forward to seeing you in concert at the Sears Center Arena in October!
