Could you please tell fFrankie his latest C.D. “Romanicing the 60′s ” was absolutely awesome.
I especially enjoyed his rendition of ” Spanish Harlem” and “This guy is in love with you” Frankie and your duo effect of “On Broadway” that to me was best. If the tickets weren’t so expensive I ‘d see ” Jersey Boys ” several more times. I sure enjoyed it the first time. And if you guys and Frankie would be guests of Mark Simone’s musicradio on WABC 770 am on Saturday’s 6 pm-10:00pm would be great. I mean Frankie has a CD to promote

if frankie were ever to rerelease his private stock years it would be fantastic, they were some of his best work. i guess frankie was touring and not recording for some reason or another, i guess when you sell 100 million records you take a long rest………….

Why was there 15 years between CDS? We know there was demand for the product and it could be sold.
At least in 1995 we had the “Oh What A Night” remix CD. Still 12 years. Too Long.

Silence is Goldenâ€ FUNNY YOU MENTION THAT SONG HOWARD, ITS A CLASSIC TO ALL OF US NEWARKERS, WE ALL LOVED IT TO DEATH HERE IN JERSEY………AS FAR AS FRANKIES NEW CD, ITS FILLED WITH AMORE……….A GREAT CD AND WELL WORTH THE WAIT, AS A FOUR SEASONS DIEHARD AND INSIDER TO THEM I FEEL HE DID A GREAT JOB. I LOVED FRANKIE SOLO LPS IN THE 70S AND 80S, HIS B-TRACKS ON CLOSEUP, OUR DAY WILL COME , VALLI , VALLI IS THE WORD , LADY PUT THE LIGHTS OUT , AND HEAVEN ABOVE ME , WERE THE BEST. HIS MOTOWN SONGS WERE GREAT ALSO IN 1972 -73 ERA BEFORE MY EYES ADORED YOU STRUCK GOLD.
I LOVED 2007 VERSION OF MY GIRL / GROOVIN , ALSO RUFFINS “WHAT BECOMES OF THE BROKEN HEARTED” , HERB ALBERTS THIS GUYS IN LOVE WITH YOU WAS FANTASTIC , AND THE CASINOS THEN YOU CAN TELL ME GOODBYE WAS A SING A LONG FOR ME , THE JERSEY BOYS DID WONDERFUL ON THE BROADWAY TUNE AND BOB GAUDIO WAS ALL OVER THESE TRACKS…………CHARLIE CALIELLO AND ROBBY ROBINSON DID A FANTASTIC JOB PRODUCING THE CD, I HAD A PROMO COPY OF THE CD A WEEK BEFORE IT CAME OUT AND LISTENED TO IT A 100 TIMES , THIS IS JUST A BEGINING OF A YEARLY CD RELEASE FOR FRANKIE SINGING CLASSICS ALA SINATRA DUETS WHEN FRANKIE WAS STILL RECORDING IN HIS LATE 70S HIMSELF…………WE CAN EXPECT ANOTHER CD FROM FRANKIE IN A YEAR OR SO. THIS ONE IS A KEEPER FOR SURE, AS AS TOMOOCH AND MACHOCCI, ANF FRANKIE WOULD SAY WE WOULD BE SINGING THE SONGS OF OTHER GROUPS WHEN WE STARTED UNDER THE STREETLIGHTS IN NEWARK NJ. Richard (comment #3), I don’t believe Frankie ever employed the falsetto on any of his solo singles or albums/CD’s. That being said, it would have been nice to hear a falsetto ending to “What a Wonderful World” or “On Broadway”.

I’m a child of the 60′s, and really enjoyed the passion behind “Take Good Care of My Baby”; I liked Frankie’s version better than either Bobby Vee’s or Bobby Vinton’s. And “Spanish Harlem” was a completely new take on both Ben E. King and Aretha–they’re all too different to decide which I preferred. And I clearly understood every word on “My Cherie Amour.”

But I think Frankie’s best shot to be the first artist to hit the BB Hot 100 in six decades could be “Call Me”, as Chris Montez’s version was only a moderate hit (#22 on the Hot 100), whereas the other songs on Frankie’s CD were just about all Top 10 hits already, often more than once. And I hardly ever hear “Call Me” on the oldies stations.

Just got my new Joel Whitburn 1955-2006 singles update today, and he now lists “Classic Non-Hot 100 Songs”. For the 4 Seasons, he lists “Connie-O”, “Peanuts”, “Since I Don’t Have You”, “Long Lonely Nights”, “Silence is Golden” and “Betrayed”.
