This is such a great tribute to you, JLY. Had dinner with our buddy David Cace last night and we were talking about your wonderful memory of names and faces and facts about all your fans, and perhaps your greatest gift, the wonderful ability to say “thanks” to everyone.

Now, John, I am planning on seeing you in Les Miz on August 9, but I’m hearing these rumors about your growing your hair long for the production. Please tell me I’ll recognize you; I’m having flashbacks of John Lennon circa 1967 and Arlo Guthrie in the early 1970′s!!

Dear John Lloyd Young,

It’s been a busy weekend, so I missed the news about your birthday until just now. A happy belated birthday wish to you. Been missing you in the lead role in Jersey Boys on Broadway, but it was great seeing and hearing you perform at Jazz at Lincoln Center earlier this year. Also, nice to hear you’re involved in a couple of theatrical productions this summer. Hope to catch you the next time you perform in a New York City venue.
