He electrified the stage, and those are not my words, but all those of the audience around me, and I have to agree. He shouldn’t be the understudy, he should be a primary Frankie in one of the Broadway production companies. I saw the show five times, and Steven M Goldsmith is a true star. His voice range, acting finese, and overall theatrical presence captivated the audience. I was thrilled to see him play this role. What a classy actor this young man is! I have no doubt he will go far in the acting profession. GO STEVEN, CAUSE YOU ROCK!

I’ve never been a fan of the real Frankie Valli’s voice, but Steven sounds like him, but having gone through filters to make it tolerable. Steven is pretty much tied with Chris Jones as my favorite Frankie at this point, that’s just going by Steven’s first performance.

And it’s odd because I don’t think you need to sound like Frankie Valli to do justice to the part (I’m kind of glad Chris Jones doesn’t…).

He does sound great, and I’ll be sure to check out his site. Thanks guys.

But there it is. If you happen to be in San Francisco or Chicago and he’s on as Frankie you have to see him perform. He’s fantastic. It’s hard for me to rank the actors who I’ve seen play Frankie but he’s definately near the top.
