Jersey Boys moved past Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Mamma Mia into 5th place among the top-grossing plays, and it trailed The Color Purple by less than $11,000 even though CP had nearly 4,000 more tickets available for sale for the week because it's in a much larger theater. Jersey Boys is once again the top jukebox musical. By the measure of box-office power I prefer (revenue per seat), Jersey Boys ($91.40 per seat) moved past Spamalot ($89.11) into third place among the hottest shows, trailing only The Odd Couple ($96.44) and Wicked ($92.35) Jersey Boys is the only one of the top shows to show and increase in revenue per seat last week.
