This could probably be the template for the high school version of the show. Remember how they toned down GREASE. The original book was much darker than what you now see on stage and even the movie GREASE made comical versions of the characters.

It’s not truly ‘authentic’ if you aren’t getting the real Jersey language of the street and the time. Plus with the guns and sex…well, I wouldn’t take a f**king seven year old.
