Seemingly without success, trying to vote before Friday deadline for DC Theatre Scene site’s People’s Choice Award 2010- for Performer in a Touring Production my vote without hesitation would be Joseph Leo Bwarie
and for Favorite Touring (non-residential) Show my vote would be nothing other than 1st National Tour Jersey Boys with cast of Joseph Leo Bwarie, Steve Gouveia, and ALL the great cast members and the production crew in total!

I voted. It looks like Joe has some very tough competition in the “Favorite Performer in a Touring Production” category. Several of the other nominees are Academy, Emmy, and Tony Award winners. But his performance was phenomenal — he certainly deserves the award (as does the touring cast). The email with the link to the ballot was sent out by the editor of the DC Theatre Scene newsletter, whose name just so happens to be LORRAINE…so maybe that’s a good omen!

No touring cast deserves it more than this cast. Congrats to Joseph for being singled out and to the rest of the cast and crew. Can’t wait to see them all again.
