Having seem it on Broadway in Oct. of 2006 we had something to compare it to and we can honestly say it was great. The cast was wonderful and there was a real sense of electricity in the theater. We can’t wait until we have the opportunity to see it again.

I believe the author gets it and offer the following sentence from the article as support of that:

“…Jersey Boys would be more of the same if not for the show’s ace in the hole: the Boys themselves. These petty hoods are so lovable, we root for their success right from the start. Standing on a street corner in rustbelt New Jersey, they love to sing, harmonizing like roughhouse angels, and they have a chance to make it if they can stay out of jail long enough to form a group.”
