Sideline comment: being a Trekkie and being a Jersey Boys fan are not mutually exclusive, you know, and it is probably wise for any dedicated fan group to be diplomatic about another dedicated fan group-- from the outside, any group can look a bit weird.

We've all been moved that extra bit more by Jersey Boys. Enough to stand at stage doors, to meet and get to know the actors over time, to form bonds of friendships that are lasting years, to travel miles and miles for brunches, lunches, dinners, and to see new casts in these famous roles. There are sightseeing tours and the list can go on and the pleasures go on and those that miss the bus, well........................

Howard - I am 61 years old and yes - I have always had a life. What amazed me about JB is that I have seen over 98 shows in my lifetime and this is the one that has engraved itself on my soul - and I love the feeling. If I was watching an interview with Robin Williams, etc I would expect sarcasm, etc. I am proud to be a Jersey Boys Fan and would expect Brickman and Elice to appreciate that and be able to voice that opinion in person. Relax everyone, I am thrilled the Brickman and Elice gave us "Jersey Boys". Whew!

Audrey, you said it perfectly, especially in the second paragraph. Rick gave his view on why everyone came to Vegas for the opening (albeit jokingly); well, reason #1 for me was to spend time with my friends, some of whom I'd met in person, but many of whom I knew only via e-mail, telephone, the Blog, or the Forum.

Stubbleyou, if we ever do get the JB pajamas, we can have a theme party at the next opening night. Just please make sure we order the PJ's with the feet!

Gladys and Kathy, there is a silver lining in Marshall's "get a life" comment and grimace. First, we discovered that he does indeed have vocal cords and, secondly, that he is capable of more than one facial expression, even, to quote Rick, at his "advanced age"!

Seriously, though, I sort of thought I had a bit of a life before "Jersey Boys", but never ever would I have dreamed that at this "stage" of life, I can claim a little piece of the Broadway "stage" in my own mind.
