THEA, if you think JLY is ever going to leave us, well, then “you’re not from Jersey!”

I actually went into JLY’s link to Ellis Island, and found my mother–the town in Poland in which she was born, the ship on which she came over, the exact date, and the exact spelling of her name. I always knew she came through Ellis Island, but never realized there was a site before. Thanks John.

I have also said this before, JLY is one of a kind. He is such an entertainer, he gives his all in the charity work he does and on Broadway. This guy is going all the way to the top, but don’t leave us yet John, we love you in New York.

I can’t agree with you more about JLY’s character and willingness to give of himself to help others. Did you know he was also involved with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as well as Save Ellis Island Foundation. He has been instilled with a generous heart and a wonderfully giving personality, not to mention the talent that is such a gift for all of us.

Yes, Catherine. Having been in public education myself, unfortunately, the arts and music programs are the near the top of the list to be cut when there are budget crises. I applaud JLY’s efforts on behalf of our school kids and will be purchasing ties for the “men” in my life – husband, father, father-in-law, son and son-in-law. I have younger men in my life who don’t wear ties yet – 5 months and 5 years! IE

Having three children in the public school system, I know firsthand what can happen to the music programs when budget cuts are needed. Four years ago there was a music classroom, now the music teacher pushes a cart from class to class – very sad. I applaud JLY’s support of such worthy causes. He is indeed an inspiration.
