Chicago has the Jefferson awards. Second only to the Tonys. The Chicago cast will be eligible for nominations for this award for next year.

I wanted to let everyone know that November 6th 2007 is the 2 year Anniversry of the Broadway production of “Jersey Boys”. All the best to everyone!!!It had been on previews, but officially opened on November 6th 2007.

If, heaven forbid, all the Broadway cast were to ever leave, it will still be- the ‘Tony winning Jersey Boys’. What if two ot three key people leave? It would still be referred to the same, of course.

There is no tour award, I believe… so by saying the ‘Tony winning Jersey Boys’, they are communicating the stature of the overall production- no matter who may be playing the various roles.

Although we may, as fans, have our favorite actors, television audiences should be told/ reminded the show is Tony caliber- OBVIOUSLY.

I saw the performance of the cast of the touring company on the Emmy awards Sunday night. I thought it was very good, however in our New Jersey paper it was adverised in the ad in the theater section that the Broadway cast was going to appear. Let’s face it, without the Broadway production “Jersey Boys” wouldn’t have been able to get all the exposure it has gotten to become the enormous hit it is. Why not give credit where it is due. I have seen the Broadway play five times so far and I will be going again. The cast is extaordinary and the nicest group of actors you will ever meet.
By the way, the same was done when they were on Jay Leno, it wasn’t the Tony award winning Broadway cast either.
Oh well, still enjoyed the performance but would have loved to see the actual Tony awards winners.

Oh my goodness!!! This is REAL entertainment like I have never seen or in a long time!!!! This is what’s appealing to viewers and will keep the audience forever!! Visual and audio appeal is the key and this group, especially the lead singer was just to the max awesome!!! Entertainment today is disturbing and not appealing to the eye but the old days held the key, the super charming handsome guy and the men just holding the power of manliness that could make a girl flip her wig as my mom would say. My whole household went wild and got all excited when these Jersey Boys came on and couldnt get enough of the lead singer!!!
Keep on going!!!
