Tis the Season: Season’s Greetings: A Jersey Boys Christmas, Part Four!

December 21st, 2011

As we count down to Christmas (and, of course to JERSEY BOYS Broadway’s performance on the TODAY Show on Friday!)–let’s spend a little time highlighting three more great tracks from Season’s Greetings: A JERSEY BOYS Christmas album.

Jersey Joy With a Heavenly Beat: Ryan Molloy & his talented backup boys welcome the world to the coolest vocals & funky, yet heavenly beat, with a hint of C’Mon Marianne, along with Oh, What A Night in the bridge! Rejoice as the choir sings O Come, O Come Emmanuel!

Have Yourself A Moody’s Mood Little Christmas: Will you ever forget the first time you saw John Lloyd Young sing “Moody’s Mood For Love” in JB Broadway?! So awesome that we get to hear JLY’s Moody-style on such a gorgeous holiday classic!

I’ll Be Home for Christmas, Thanks to Ron Melrose’s Arrangement: Who knew that this great song almost didn’t make it to the CD?! In the JB Rhino Christmas album radio special, we find out that I’ll be Home For Christmas was not originally expected to be on the album, until Bob Gaudio suggested they include it when Jarrod was in the studio. Ron Melrose wrote a chart in an hour, and Jarrod recorded it after lunch. BTW, Jarrod, I’m “tearing up” with those vocals as you sing, “…if only in my dreams…”!
