Billy Joel finally admitted that the last line of “Rag Doll” was the inspiration for “Just The Way You Are”. And the B Side, “Silence Is Golden”, remake by The Tremeloes in 1967 was their most successful song in the US. Four Seasons B Sides were better than many artists A sides. Maybe The Tremeloes should have changed the lyrics to “Even The Bad Times Are Good”, to “Even Their B Sides Are Good”.

RAGDOLL is MY all time favorite Frankie Valli song.. There is a story behind this song as well.

But Frankie and The Four Seasons have earned their place in musical history!! Hopefully, we can continue to hear from him personally for a longer time. To have achieved what he has done, is amazing!

Such a beautiful sounding, well written song only the 4 seasons could sing. You know at this time in pop music history you had the Spector sound, the beach boy sound, and the Motown sound and it took the 4 seasons to put it all together and come up with Rag Doll. I’ve often wondered why this song never made the top 500 best songs of all time according to rolling stone magazine or for that matter any valli or 4 seasons song.
