My memory connected to this song started with Jersey Boys. When researching locations for my ‘Four Seasons Old Neighborhood Tour,’ I remember the day when I finally located the house where Bob wrote ‘Sherry’ on that notable Sunday afternoon.

I want to thank Four Seasons Historian, Walt Gollander, who had wisely saved Bob’s business card with his home address from that year. Walt’s extensive collection of Four Seasons memorabilia is truly impressive – the kind of things most people wouldn’t think to save, like a Sea Breeze Lounge newspaper ad promoting a Four Seasons appearance, as well as the only known photos of the Four Seasons Bowling Lounge.

Here’s to many more years of nostalgic memories!

It’s difficult today to imagine the impact this record had on most of us hearing it for the first time back in 62.

The open harmony, the “clacking”, Frankie’s soaring
lead.

I think someone characterized it as “otherworldly”.

Who were they? Girl group? Black R&B group? We’ve heard falsetto before….but not like this!
