The other night, another Late Night show was on supposedly talking about the movie. But instead of talking about the movie, he said it was good to see Clint Eastwood in the Director's Chair instead of talking to a chair. I doubt if half the audience even remembered what he was talking about. Could these guys spend as much time talking about the movie as they do on the obscure political comments? Later the host did start singing a rendition of "Big Girls Don't Cry". Again, not really talking about the movie, but it was almost surreal thinking about the fact that the song is from over 50 years ago, and who knew people would still be taking about it today.

Well, he is a little weird but I guess that's what gives him his appeal. What I thought was strange was how on Letterman, Dave spent so much time talking about his early role in Annie Hall. I kept waiting for CW to point out that both movies were cowritten by Marshall Brickman. That would've been a nice tie-in.

You're right, George. They should have steered him to talk about the movie. As it was, he almost seems like he is in his "The Continental" character from Saturday Night Live, a little scary, and you just want to get to the the door and escape. Funny, but not really on topic.
