Another Amazing Tempe Review for Jersey Boys!

October 4th, 2007

Tara Brite of the ASU Web Devil notes that she grew up with the Four Seasons, thanks to her dad’s obsession with the ’60s pop band. No family road trip, no matter how short, was complete without at least one sing-along. Tara, however, wasn’t too thrilled with the Seasons’ music at the time.

But when Jersey Boys, the Tony award-winning musical about the group, first showed at ASU’s Gammage Auditorium last week, Brite knew it was time for one more trip. And she’s glad she made it. She says that JB ranks up there as one of the best theatrical productions she has ever seen! Even from the 20th row, the audience could see — and more importantly, feel — the raw emotion and excitement on the stage.

While she wasn’t one of the “older” folk in the audience who could be seen clapping and dancing to their favorite songs, Brite found herself nodding along to most of the songs and fighting tears during the more emotional moments of Jersey Boys.
