News from Playbill.com: Rick Elice is working on a stage musical based on the tumultuous life of pop goddess Cher! Cher tweeted Oct. 25 that she had spent the previous three days with Elice, explaining, “We had so much fun.”
Responding to Playbill.com’s questions about the project, Elice said, “The fact is, we’re just getting started so I don’t think there’s a story for you yet. No answers at this point, only questions.”
Cher first announced the musical project in 2012, but this is the first new detail about the project. She said at the time that the show would include her top hits.
No other details were immediately available.
Sounds like a winning combination: a Tony-nominated author with a pop music goddess, doesn’t it?!
Wonder who might be the lucky actress to play Cher on Broadway?! Any suggestions?

Wow…Can’t wait to see this. Both are amazing in what they do! CHER is a ROCK GODDESS! I would love to see Cher play herself!
