Richard Duckett has a great feature on JERSEY BOYS Chicago’s Mary Delgado, Merissa Haddad!

According to Duckett, Haddad had not originally moved West to pursue an acting career. Rather, she was a physical therapist working with children with special needs. However, a longstanding interest in theater had been nurtured from her days at Shrewsbury High School, and after settling in L.A. she started going to auditions.

Now she’s a Jersey girl in Chicago.

In December she made her “Broadway in Chicago” debut as Frankie Valli’s wife, Mary Delgado, in the musical “Jersey Boys,” which tells the topsy-turvy story of the musical group The Four Seasons. The Chicago production at the Bank of America Theatre is put on by the producers of the original Broadway show, which has spawned touring and resident companies.

Haddad’s “Jersey Boys” story is an odyssey of patience and not giving up on your dream.
