Fabulous Video! Jersey Boys First Natl Tour Cast Singing ‘Sweet City Woman’ in Calgary!

July 1st, 2012

The JERSEY BOYS first national tour company brought the house down Saturday night in Calgary. During an encore they gave the crowd a special treat by singing “Sweet City Woman” – the official song that celebrates Calgary being a cultural capital this year. The cast was also “white-hatted,” before being welcomed to the city by Mayor Naheed Nenshi.

  1. The Stampeders version in 1971 was one of my favorites on the Seasons-less, Valli-less charts of that time. I’m surprised that it only got up to #8. I was thinking that it was Top 5 at least. Good song. Like CTMEOY, they have CKLW to thank for breaking it on a large scale to the US audience.

  2. Ted- One of my favorites, too. Nice way to connect to the audience. Good job. Liked the girls dancing in the back toward the end, too.
