Happy Birthday to Steve Orich!
October 20th, 2007Happy Birthday wishes to Jersey Boys Tony Award-winning orchestrator Steve Orich!
Since orchestrating JB, Steve has been involved in a number of exciting musical projects!
- Steve was nominated for a 2007 LA Stage Alliance Ovation Award for Best Musical Direction for Can-Can at the Pasadena Playhouse.
- Last month, Snapshots, a musical that Steve orchestrated, opened at the Human Race Theatre in Dayton, Ohio to terrific reviews!
- Steve’s latest production, the new Broadway-aimed revised revival of Lerner and Loewe’s Paint Your Wagon, opened in Salt Lake City in September. Steve significantly revised orchestrations for the musical that will be launching a cross-country tour, followed by productions on Broadway and in London!

Steve, you were class personified when we met in LA earlier this summer. Helen Reddy would roar for you to take “center stage” today, and be sure to paint your wagon red!
I don’t think anyone will forget the image of your standing and clapping so enthusiastically at the Tony’s as Christian bounded down the aisle.
