It doesn’t get much better than this! Here’s Howell Binkley displaying his Tony nomination certificate, as he was getting ready for Broadway’s Biggest Night! Then, Howell is posing with his Tony Award for Best Lighting Design of a Musical!

Hal,
It was so great to see you win the Tony Award. We went to school together at EAST CAROLINA. I remember we were in several classes together. I think you were even in Mavis Ray’s ballet class with me and Connie Ray. I think…..It has been so long. But just wanted to say how proud I am of you. You are having quite the career!
Fantastic! I’m living in LA now. Have been since 1987. Got married out here, and just stayed. Anyway, hope all is well, maybe we’ll get to work together some day.

Ran into this blog at work one day while catching up on what old friends are doing. Looks like you’re doing wonderfully as usual and that life has been good to you. Congratulations…a bit late but better late than never. I’ve moved back to Pittsburgh and have been out of the business for about 5 years now. If you EVER get this, drop me a line. This blog has my email. LOL.

Remember me? Sparky from The American Dance festival 1978? We were electricians together.
My boyfriend is a big fan of “Avenue Q”. Couldn’t belive it, when I saw your name. I remember how you would, put a cigarette between your lower lip and your chin and talk.
