Jersey Boys Cast Recording Tops Chart for Seventh Week!
March 16th, 2009For the week of 3/21/09, JERSEY BOYS Original Cast Recording tops the Billboard Top Cast Albums chart for the SEVENTH consecutive week! This marks the 165th straight week that the Grammy winning and RIAA Certified Gold recording has been on the chart.
The JB OBCR is like my morning coffee–can’t get started without it! Rarely a day goes by without this Grammy winner playing during the long commute. In fact, the Tech Half and I have a ritual–when we know we’re about five minutes away from my drop off spot–we play “Who Loves You”…it’s like being back at the August Wilson (or The Palazzo, or…well, you get the picture)…”Cry For Me” and “Beggin’” also work wonders after a long, long meeting around 3PM!
What’s your favorite time of day or night to play the JERSEY BOYS OBCR?
Still love to play the JB OBCR during my long commutes, too. “Who Loves You” is the best pick-me-up after a long 12-hr day! Other favorites are “Dawn”, “Cry For Me”, and the medley (track 16). And I’ll always love “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You”. Never gets old.

I play this CD every day. It is the only CD in my car and here at the office. I can be feeling really down and all I have to hear is the first few bars of the CD and I am smiling. In my mind I hear all the dialog and it makes me want to see the show again and again. No show or CD has ever had this effect on me. I LOVE IT!
