Jersey Boys Continues to Rock on ‘Best of 2008′ Lists!
January 1st, 2009Theatre critics keep reminiscing about the great, the good, and the not so good stage experiences in 2008. JERSEY BOYS continues to be the critics’ top choice in the USA and the UK!
From Elaine Liner, DallasObserver.com: Jersey Boys, Dallas Summer Musicals: For once Fair Park welcomed a top-notch Broadway tour whose cast was as good or better than the originals. Newcomers Joseph Leo Bwarie, who played Frankie Valli, and Andrew Rennells, who played Bob Gaudio, deserve shots at stardom on the Rialto sooner than later. They were part of a four-part harmonic convergence of everything musical theater should be.
From Phil Hatfield, Braintree and Witham Times: Hatfield rates JERSEY BOYS his top pick for 2008 West End new musicals! He states, “In a poor year for new musicals, big Broadway import Jersey Boys stood head and shoulders above the rest. In fact, it was the best written “jukebox†musical since Mamma Mia, while Ryan Molloy brilliantly captured Frankie Valli’s famous falsetto.”
