Jersey Boys WOWs at the Wharton Center!

October 3rd, 2011

Jersey Boys LogoEast Lansing critics are singing the praises of the JERSEY BOYS first national tour at the Wharton Center! Check out previews of two reviews:

Britteny Dee, StateNews.com: By the end of the night, I found myself feeling as if I had grown up during the ‘60s, listening to and falling in love with Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons like the rest of their fans did. I left Wharton Center with more than the memory of a fun-filled night of music, dancing and good company. I was fortunate enough to be given a behind-the-scenes look into the lives of some of the country’s most famous and influential musicians.

I could have used the internet to research Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, or read a biography about the group, but then I wouldn’t have developed a personal connection to the band like I did by seeing the members’ lives unfold before me on stage. And I wouldn’t have had nearly as much fun. Click HERE to read the full review.

Ken Glickman, Lansing State Journal: What’s that you say? You don’t like musicals because of those cheesy love songs, incessant tap dancing and over-the-top production numbers?

Then go see “Jersey Boys,” maybe the perfect mix of realism, music and story for a modern musical.

But story aside, you will never hear the Four Seasons music performed as well as you will hear it in this production. Exciting numbers show flawless voices, fun dancing and great sound quality.

“Jersey Boys” is guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
