2. I thought the film was great! Just like the play, it had the audience clapping and singing along, I missed some of the songs from the play that were left out of the film, but the additional scenes gave more emphasis to character development and added to the story line. On the way out, an usher remarked that he hadn’t seen people having such a good time at a movie.

3. Saw the movie opening day. It was fantastic. My wife saw the play and she loved both. The music was and still is wonderful. Clint Eastwood deserves a lot of credit for this moving portrayal. Special thanks to the fantastic actors/singers. Loved every minute.

Adapting the stage version to a film version while incorporating the music and doing so with 3 lead characters who have never, to my knowledge, acted in a film before must have been highly challenging. However, Mr. Eastwood, cast and crew succeeded in creating an enjoyable movie with many touching and dramatic moments. I found myself wanting more, both their personal struggles and their songs but that was not realistic since it was already 2H & 10 minutes. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I believe Mr. Eastwood’s decision to cast 3 original cast members, especially John Lloyd Young as Frankie Valli was the best decision since one would be hard pressed to find actors who could perform the Four Season’s music. The acting of all of the characters was excellent as well. We plan to see this movie again.

5. First I have to say that I did like the movie. There were changes I wasn’t crazy about and even though they tried to flesh out the stories/characters some of it missed the mark. I missed “Fallen Angel” and there was a perfect place for them to use it as a background. All in All, not bad…but not the feeling of the live show. I will probably go see it one more time with someone (I went alone this time) so that I can concentrate more on the staging. Oh, and sorry folks, I did not like Christopher Walken as Gyp..he was adequate. Also, the orchestration behind “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You” was way too over the top and harsh. I did like the way they went into the Rock and Roll hall of fame, and then into the finale.

6. Just love this movie. Clint Eastwood did a fantastic job and It is destined to be a very big hit in the movies. The entire movie, music , acting ,scenery is THE BEST.I will be seeing it again and again and again. Thanks to Clint Eastwood for Making My Day!!!! Viv

7. The movie is FANTASTIC!!!!!! The acting, the singing, EVERYTHING is done perfectly!! Clint did not disappoint at all. And if you were like me and unsure about JLY playing Frankie because of his voice, do not worry. John is an amazing Frankie, and he can still hit those notes!! I went twice yesterday and I am going again later today. A woman walking out of the theater said “It will make you laugh, cry, and reminisce.” Though I am not old enough to reminisce, I can definitely say that there are times you want to sing and dance along, and times your heart breaks. Don’t miss this movie!!!!

8. Loved the film! Took my parents and some friends opening night..we all had a great time! I never listen to what critics say…. It’s their opinion not mine. My family and I loved the stage show and loved the movie. Cast was great…..will see it again for sure!!

10. Loved the movie. 5 stars to the cast and crew. John Lloyd Young nailed the performance and we felt his sorrows and elation. Everyone in the theatre applauded and loved the film. Going back to see it again with other friends – it is fabulous on the big screen. Don’t miss it.

11. I loved it. I was born in the 50′s and I loved hearing all the old songs. Was also interesting hearing about the back story….who knew all that was going on???!!!! Not me. Totally enjoyed the movie and music and actors. Groovy and far out.

12. What a great nostalgic movie! I saw it opening night, again the second day, and probably again tomorrow. Each day was different with more people applauding the first day and more people singing along the second day (older crowd). The 50′s-60′s were my era and I remember seeing them (The Four Seasons) on American Bandstand and Ed Sullivan. Many in the theater laughed at seeing Ed Sullivan’s hand as he walked off stage after the intro (nice touch). John Lloyd Young you did a superb performance as Frankie in the movie, I hope you go on to other singing roles. Your energy really helped carry the choreography in the movie; but that fleeting “come on” smile…….. It must have been hard to get out your angry expressions. The most compassionate line (my opinion) was “He couldn’t help it!!” Will you be doing another limited engagement on Broadway? That is when I want to see the play. Good job to everyone.

13. I think we need just one more option in the survey. “Will you see it more than once at a theater?” (or more than once opening weekend) I’ve seen it twice and liked it even more the second time. I’m wondering if I’ll keep liking it more each time – hope so, but that’d be a little scary!

    It’s like the show; there’s a quality to it, that keeps revealing another layer. I’ve heard comments referencing movie moments that I don’t recall – ones that I’m amazed I could have missed. Over the years, I’ve also heard stage show patrons tell me that “they’ve changed the show” since the first time they saw it.

    I wish they’d have ‘fan viewings’ at some theaters, which would help insure a good audience – with drinks afterwards, of course! Particularly in the NY/ NJ area.

15. Saw Jersey Boys movie on the afternoon it opened. Being an avid Frankie fan, I was so excited to see this film. My husband and I enjoyed it very much. There were a few details in the story that we didn’t remember from the Broadway play. It was interesting to hear all about Frankie’s background.

    I will definitely go to see it again and will purchase a DVD when one comes available. Thanks to Mr. Eastwood, J L Young, Christopher Walken and all who brought the Frankie Valli story to each of us.He is a pop legend, an icon and just truly a wonderful performer. We love you all. May his music live on!!
