From BroadwayWorld.com: BBC London 94.9FM’s special gala performance of hit musical JERSEY BOYS at the Prince Edward Theatre in London on Wednesday 17 November 2010 raised a staggering £60,150 for BBC Children in Need. This beats the total raised at last year’s MAMMA MIA! gala performance, which was already a record for the most ever raised by BBC London for BBC Children in Need, thanks to generous listeners and viewers.

Julian Stoneman, Executive producer of JERSEY BOYS said: “The gala night went better than any of us could have expected. We were thrilled with the audience reaction and delighted that JERSEY BOYS was able to contribute so much to such a worthwhile cause!”

  1. Oh What a Night, Children in Need was well represented by Jersey Boys, Jon & Eugene are now well settled into the cast and have brought something special to the already amazing show, I have been 6 times now, and I will always make time to see the show every time i am in London.I will be visiting again for Stephens final performance and I am sure who ever is to replace him will be extremely nervous, very big boots to fill but I am sure who ever is to replace him will be well trained and settle in, as Jon & Eugene have. ( not sure replacing Ryan will be so simple, when it eventualy has to happen? he is quite unique) but I think Jersey Boys will run and run for many many years, it’s the music, it is timeless and will find new fans through the generations. Thank you for the music Bob Gaudio and Frankie Valli xx
