June 14th, 2008Jersey Boys national tour plays the Playhouse Square in Cleveland from Wednesday June 18 through July 20! John Benson of The Gazette recently spoke to JB co-writer Rick Elice about the blockbuster musical.
Why is Rick Elice excited about Jersey Boys’ Cleveland debut? According to Elice:
In a way, The Four Seasons is like a house band for Cleveland because they were 1990 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, and back in the day they sold a ton of records there. So I think there’s a really big fan base for this music in Cleveland, and the music is what should really get them to come in, while the story is what will get them to leave saying, ‘Wow, this is a great night.”
