  1. I’m there! Actually I have to be there because I want to, and my new employer contributes to the cause and joins the AIDS Walk every year.

Since it’s on a Sunday, I’m sure they’ll leave immediately to go to the Curran Theatre for their matinee performance, but I’ll try to spot them and join in with the cast. Anyways, it would be fun to walk with them since they’ve done so much for AIDS research through the BC/EFA benefit earlier this year! That day is perfect since I’m bringing my two sons to watch Jersey Boys again later on in the evening, so maybe I’ll chat with Jeremy and the guys about the walk at the stage door after the show.

Thanks to Jeremy Kushnier and the 2nd National Tour Cast for their contributions to the cause!

  2. So the cast is actually going? Some thing about that doesn’t seem right to me. If it is on a Sunday and they do have a matinee that performance, why would they let them walk? If this is true, I’ll definitely go. It’s a good cause so I’ll try to go no matter what.

  3. I think you can sign up for the AIDS Walk but don’t necessary have to have everyone there. It’s also Michael Ingersoll’s first show back, so I imagine there will be more fundraising and less actual physical walking. They not only have a matinee but also a 7:30 show that night, too.

  4. Cool! That means we’ll get a chance to chat once more with Michael at the walk and welcome him back to San Francisco.

After watching them perform so many times in one week, these guys are definitely strong and the AIDS Walk is not difficult anyways. Broadway actors are a truly hardy bunch! I believe in their physical ability after watching Jersey Boys so many times and seeing what they go through onstage.

I salute them and the other casts for caring about vital health issues Worldwide!

  5. Scratch that, just heard from a cast member that yep, they’ll be walking and then doing 2 shows. Bring on the Red Bull! ;)

  6. They sure are walking, Leanna! Just sponsored my friend, Craig Laurie (“Bob Crewe”) from the following link:

Just type in the walker’s name and it calls up the Team Jersey Boys page.

Have a great time with the gang, Mike and sons, both on the walk and at the show. (And BTW, I am seeing the New York show with friend and fellow Fantastic Fan Irene Eizen on the same day, July 15!)

  7. Thanks Howard! Hope your trip went well, and I give you “two thumbs up” on the many interviews you had with the 1st National Tour group! Must have been a very busy, but fun week in LA with Chris & Co.!

I’m sure it will be a great day on July 15th starting with the Jersey Boys cast at AIDS Walk SF and then catching my favorite Broadway show in the evening! From this SF “Fantastic Fan” to two fellow JBB FF fans in NY, enjoy the show at the August Wilson and we’ll definitely enjoy the show at the Curran that same evening! Hopefully you’ll be able to take a trip to Chicago and see the 2nd Touring cast later this year. Jarrod Spector and co. always “rocks the house” and are as good as the critics say they are!!!!!
