Toronto Jersey Boy Quinn VanAntwerp Among ‘Worthy 30′!
February 25th, 2010From BroadwayWorld.com: Shinan Govani recently announced his list of the “Worthy 30 Men” currently in Toronto. In a piece for the National Post, Shinan unveiled his carefully chosen list of men, and JERSEY BOYS Toronto’s Quinn VanAntwerp (who plays Bob Gaudio) was one of the 30.
The “Worthy 30″ is a list of men who make the city of Toronto tick, and is released quasi annually in the National Post. According to Shinan, it is based on his adventures around town, as well as recommendations from various sources. In addition, in order to be eligible, the men “needed a modicum of attractiveness, some discernment, accomplishment and that unpindownable thing we call ‘It’”.
The list was varied to say the least, but it was nice to see musical theatre making a dent with Toronto “Jersey Boy” Quinn VanAntwerp being named. While not native to the city, Quinn has been in Toronto for over a year wowing audiences as the “last piece of the puzzle” in Jersey Boys. When asked why he was picked, the 23-year-old Antwerp stated: “Because I’m a tall 23-year-old who gets to do what he loves for a living and gets paid really well to do it! There are not many men my age who have jobs like this and I tell myself how lucky I am everyday.”
