Travis Cloer May 23 Show

Travis Cloer & His Little Big Band will be performing this Sunday at The Clark County Library Theatre! Jerry Fink spoke with Travis about his upcoming show:

Travis Cloer & Rick Faugno share playing the role of Frankie Valli in Vegas JERSEY BOYS. Actually, he and Faugno share more than the Valli role. Both are talented singers and dancers with strong desires to perform solo, in addition to performing in “Jersey Boys” at the Palazzo. For several months Faugno has been occasionally performing his one-man show, “Songs My Idols Sang (And Danced!)”, at South Point. Taking a cue from his fellow star, Cloer has dusted off a solo show he has performed off and on for the past five or six years and will perform it at 2 p.m. Sunday (May 23) at County Library Theatre, 1401 E. Flamingo Road (West of Maryland Parkway).

“Before joining ‘Jersey Boys’ I did my own solo act for years on cruise ships and in night clubs,” he says.

Sunday’s performance will be a variation of the act he done around the country.

“I’ve been doing this so lot that I have a lot of material to pull from,” he says.

The material he uses will depend on how much time he has to prepare and on the band, this time it will be an 8-piece ensemble, including four horns and a rhythm section.

“Sunday’s show will be a little bit of everything,” Cloer says.

Including cuts from his CD “Setting the Standard,” which is made up of classic jazz numbers.

“And there will be some original material as well,” he says.

The show will be presented by The Performing Arts Society of Nevada at The Clark County Library Theatre on Sunday May 23rd at 2pm. Tickets are $15 and can be reserved by calling 702.658.6741.
