UK Reviewer Finds Jersey Boys Moving, Entertaining, and Uplifting!

So a musical about the lives of four blue-collar boys from gritty New Jersey – the territory of Sinatra and The Sopranos, across the water from the bright lights of Manhattan – who became pop music legends in the 1960s, is his idea of a great night out.
Allcock states that Jersey Boys, the colorful rags to riches story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, involves comedy, tragedy, infidelity, poverty, petty crime, cthe loss of virginity (both literally and metaphorically) and the Mafia, as it follows the road to the group’s induction in pop music’s Hall Of Fame in the late 1990s. He found it moving, entertaining and uplifting. Along with most of the audience who had given it a standing ovation, He left theatre with all the songs buzzing around his head – and feeling really good.
